Hydrangea Sketch

Here is the card that I did for the Sketch Challenge on SCS this week.

I love this sketch, mainly because it is pretty clean and neat.  Did you notice that I actually used some Decorative Paper?  I am going to try to use more of that paper that I love in the packages but then I break out in a sweat when I try to put it on a card!

Here is the sketch....

I didn't add layer 4.  The row of tiny flowers with pearl centers takes it's place.

The flower was stamped with Concord Crush on a tag that I found in my stash.  I used the blender pen and a bit more ink to color the flowers.  The stem and leaves are stamped in Old Olive.  The Color Spritzer Tool with my Concord Crush Marker along with some sponging in Pear Pizzazz softened the background.

I rounded 3 corners & used the decorative corner punch on the 4th.

The Decorative Paper is from the Paper Pack that is a Level 1 Hostess gift.

All the layers have a narrow mat of Concord Crush.

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Because I Care
Ink:  Concord Crush, Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz
Paper:  Very Vanilla, Concord Crush, Designer Series Paper Pack
Accessories:  Blender Pen, Corner Rounder & Scallop Trim Corner Punches, Color Spritzer Tool, Concord Crush SU Marker, Stamping Sponges, Basic Pearls

I just had an out loud laugh about you breaking out into a sweat over using designer paper. Very funny! I love what you did instead of the 4th pretty. And, that is a lovely corner.

I’ve never seen a beautiful hydrangea sketch card as beautiful as this one. This is just so pretty. I think I’m gonna try making one this weekend. Thanks for the tips!:)
