Shades of Lavender

I went fishing in the scrap bags again.  This is what I came up with.

The Play Date Cafe Challenge PDCC66 was to use purple, black and white.  This was the inspiration photo..

For the layout,  I used the FTL125 from CleanandSimple....

I should have put the lightest shade all the way to the left.  I didn't because this layout of the colors was more pleasing to my eye.

I fished in my purple scrap bag and found these 4 shades in textured card stock. The strips are 1" x 2 7/8". I adhered them to an index card that I cut 2 7/8" x 4" and stamped the filigree from the Sale-a-bration set, Bliss, over the top. To do it again, I would stamp it in VersaMark and emboss it in black.  It would show up much better.

I used scallops instead of a sentiment. The sentiment can go on the inside.

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Bliss (Sale-a-bration selection)
Ink:  Basic Black
Paper:  Whisper White, Basic Black, Scraps of lavender
Accessories:  Scallop Trim Border Punch

Enjoy,
Bonnie

Bonnie, right away, I knew which sketch you had used! I was thinking of what to do with that same sketch earlier tonight. Love how you used it with gradient shades of purple, then laid the flourish over top. Beautiful. REALLY so glad you came and played again at PDCC!

This was a great sketch for using up scraps, wasn't it? The textured cardstocks add such dimension and the flourish looks great on top of them.
