Sweet Silhouette

After struggling creating a couple of one layer cards, my mind went to the Ways to Use It challenge on SCS Thursday to use a silhouette on a card.  I immediately thought of the Easter Blossoms set that I hadn't used yet.

Stampin' B's challenge this week is to do a monochromatic card and that's perfect for a silhouette image!

I stamped that beautiful branch with Basic Gray then pulled the color into the petals with a blender pen.  When everything was good and dry, I stamped the girl with VersaMark and heat embossed with Black EP.

I used the BIG GUY and the Ovals die to cut out the design and pulled out "the other" shape cutter stashed deep in my drawer for the black oval.

A little dry embossing and a piece of ribbon and it's done!  It took  half the time of the one layer cards posted earlier!

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Easter Blossoms
Ink:  Basic Gray, VersaMark
Paper:  Basic Black, Whisper White
Accessories:  Big Shot, Ovals Die, Perfect Polka Dots EF, Black Satin Ribbon

Enjoy,
Bonnie

Bonnie, I like the subtle lines of the cherry blossoms behind the silhouette of the little girl. That looks good. ANd thanks for reminding me about the Stampin B monochromatic challenge; I love those!

Bonnie, this is one of the prettiest cards I have seen lately - so sweet! Really, less can be more, right? Thanks for sharing!
