Baby It's Cold Outside

This is a quick card made from pieces tried and discarded for a later date.  They didn't even make it into my UFO (UnFinished Objects) box.

Can you see the rhinestones in the centers of the lacy flowers.  And I love to thread ribbon, or in this case, Baja Breeze Seam Binding through the lace.

The sentiment is one word from the Peace on Earth stamp in the Four the Holidays set.

I don't know if you can see it or not, but the snowflakes are wearing a little Dazzling Details.  I do love sparkly snow!

And this is from another experiment.  I first embossed the card front with the Northern Frost Embossing Folder, then covered the snowflakes with Dazzling Details.  I love the sparkle, but the moisture from the Dazzling Details made some waves in the design piece.  I can still see the waves so I'm thinking I should have used more adhesive on the back.

Card Recipe (Card 1)
Stamps:  Northern Hearts (Retired), Four the Holidays
Ink:  Baja Breeze, SU Marker (Baja Breeze)
Paper:  Whisper White, Marina Mist, Baja Breeze
Other:  Dazzling Details, Lace Ribbon Border Punch, Baja Breeze Seam Binding, Basic Rhinestones

Card Recipe (Card 2)
Stamps: Many Merry Messages
Ink:  Cherry Cobbler
Paper:  Basic Black, Whisper White
Other:  Big Shot, Northern Frost EF, Dazzling Details

Yesterday it was almost 80 here and the temperature has dropped to 46 this afternoon and supposed to keep going down.  It's a good day to think about Christmas and snowflakes!  I hope you are enjoying the weather wherever you are.

Thanks for the stopping by.  I really appreciate your comments.

Enjoy!

Oh, Bonnie, we must be sharing the same weather!! It was almost 70 yesterday...today it's breezy and 56! Much better than your 46 though! ;-)

Love the cards!! The colors on the first are gorgeous--I love the lacy flowers/snowflakes! And the I love the stamp on the second card. I don't think the waves are too bad on that one. Send it out and blame the post office!! =D

Love the border piece with the ribbon threaded through-pretty touch.

We got up to almost 50 degrees yesterday after a start of 26 degrees. Very windy this morning but haven't looked at the temp yet. Can't believe it is almost Thanksgiving-guess I better do a little extra cleaning in the next few days!!

Good morning, Bonnie! On your first card, I think that punched lace looks beautiful with the seam binding threaded through.

And on the second card, I like the shimmer on those snowflakes but I don't know what Dazzling Details is/are. I'll have to check that out sometime.
