Folkart Angel

It's Merry Monday time and another fantastic sketch to play with.

I gave in to the compulsion to color this angel with my markers.

I visualized this angel like the folk art angels that were so popular several years ago. It was a little tricky because I wanted to use the gold ink for the wings and horn.  I very carefully tapped the inkpad on just those areas then colored the rest with markers.

The star is heat embossed with gold on Brushed Gold cardstock.

All supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted.

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Rejoicing with You, Ornate Ornaments (retired), Many Merry Messages (retired)
Ink:  Encore Gold, Cherry Cobbler, SU Markers (Cherry Cobbler, Blush Blossom, Daffodil Delight)
Paper:  Textured White, Cherry Cobbler, Brushed Gold
Other: Gold Embossing Powder

I hope you'll join us at Merry Monday this week.  And check out the fantastic cards the rest of the design team has come up with. They're fantastic!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  I have a class and a Stamp Stack this week and I'm up to my eyeballs in cards.  And I'm wondering how many clear blocks would be enough?

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Enjoy!

I'm so sorry I've not been in touch for so long but I do hope that you are well. I am hoping for a good blogland catch-up during our half-term holiday at the end of October. Take care!

A wonderful card Bonnie, and quite traditional in a modern way, if that makes sense :)
