Featuring Connie and the Veterans

I had a few stars leftover from the card I posted the other day and being  inspired by Connie (aka Stamp300), who is the Featured Stamper at SCS this week, I put them together like this.

This didn't make it into the packet for the Honor Flight.  But I think my Dad will love it and he's a Veteran of WWII too.

The CASology challenge this week is

I looked up the meaning of extraterrestrial since I didn't have any space people in my collection.  Here's what Wikipedia has to say about it.  Extraterrestrial may refer to any object or being beyond (extra-) the planet Earth (terrestrial). It is derived from the Latin Root extra ("outside", "outwards") and terrestris ("earthly", "of or relating to the Earth").

I think stars would qualify.  Maybe.

I think I can take these snippets over to Pixie's Crafty Workshop to share with the fun folks there.  She's offering a really pretty stamp for a prize and maybe a second entry will be the lucky one.

Here is another card I sent for the Honor Flight.  The eagle was stamped with a retired SU set that my friend brought to a Stamp & Share when we were doing cards for the guys.

I used the sketch from the SCS Sketch Challenge last week.

Using red white and blue really does give it a hero/military feeling, but it's still perfect for our challenge as well! Very elegant and patriotic! Thanks so much for playing along with us at CASology this week!
