Seeing Stars and Featuring Laura

I don't do a lot of cute cards.  I love flowers and butterflies and embossed backgrounds.  You hadn't noticed? LOL.  Sometimes I feel like I'm stuck in a rut.  I've seen so many cute cards done with Penny Black.  So when I saw a set at a neighborhood scrap meet, I grabbed it before anybody else saw it.  It's been sitting in my NBUS (Never Before Used Schtuff) box for several months now. It's time to break out from the norm a bit.  Just a bit.

While browsing Laura's gallery last week, (she's the Featured Stamper at SCS) I saw this card and saw the perfect opportunity to use this set.

All the Independence Day challenges made this little guy the winner of which stamp to use.

Addicted to Stamps and More#52  MAKE YOUR MARK
I used Markers to color and to doodle.

Pixie's Crafty Workshop #79  cause I used a few snippets here.  I actually pulled some snippets out of the scrap basket for those itty, bitty stars!  My desire for Penny Black originated at Di's site.  Oh, the enabling that goes on here in blogland!

Agree with Darnell, you definitely handle cute extremely well. And a good eye for a nice PB snarfup too. Hard to go wrong with PB. Love that you did the background with the stars, and this was a delightful card. Hope your holiday was grand. Still 94 in the shade today. But I was smart enough to stay home & in the a/c. Hear our Upstate area is getting lots of rain. Hope it's ok in NC where you are. TFS & Many hugs.
