Spring Garden for Queen Marie

The Queen for the Day challenges at SCS continue to honor past queens.  This week we're to revisit a past queen whose name begins with M-O.  There are so many inspiring artists in the lists that it's really difficult to choose just one.

Wish I had time to honor them all.

Since I can't do that, I chose one of my SCS friends, Marie (aka Momof5sons).  Not only is Marie a wonderful inspiration with her card but she is so encouraging with her comments.

So this is for Queen Marie inspired by this card.

The image was one of the many UFOs in my box.  I pulled out all the UFOs from this set and the Heartfelt Thanks set for my Papercrafting group to use last week.  I didn't get pictures of all the cards that they made,  but here's a few.

After they made 24 cards, there were still a lot of images left.  I was determined not to put them back in the UFO box.

I went on an OCD rampage.....

I completed 25 more cards and 1 tag.  Whew!

I had already pulled cardstock and embellishments to go with the images.  That made it pretty easy to get them all together quickly.

Guess what my customers will be getting in their packages this month?

You may wonder why in the world I had so many images from this set.  I wondered the same thing!  I remember having borrowed this set about the time I had my gall bladder out.  I spent an afternoon, day or two, just stamping all these images in different colors.  Just for fun.

That was 5 years ago.

It was time to use them up!

All supplies are Stampin'  Up! unless otherwise noted

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Spring Garden
Ink: Mellow Moss (retired), Summer Sun (retired)
Paper:  Daffodil Delight, Whisper White

Thanks so much for stopping by.

WOw, you were a busy stamper....I am thinking that is one of the oldest sets I ever used, LOL! I remember thinking how cool it was, to be able to make the flowers any color I wanted! Still think it's lovely!

I can echo all the WOW's, the cards are so beautiful, what a way to get a load of cards done even if it has taken 5 years LOL.

I am struggling with one a day let alone 25.

Talk about getting things done! WOW! What beautiful cards you came up with! Especially the one you highlighted with the dotted ribbon coordinating with the embossed dots. (Plus yellow is my favorite color.)

Oh you marvelous lady, to get so many of these cards pulled together. Even if you _did_ have the images precolored long ago. What a worker-bee you were to accomplish 25 cards. Each one was beautiful & I loved all these colorful, cheery flowers. Your layouts on the cards were so pretty & really highlighted the lovely images. Great job. TFS & Hugs

Wow that is a LOT of cards ! Good for you to use up images from 5 years ago. I would have given them away (which is what I end up doing, I don't like them hanging around). Your cards are beautiful! Shirleyx
