Everything Flowers Two Ways

Hi.

Are you getting tired of salted and alcohol ink cards?

Here's something different.
I've stamped and heat embossed the Everything Flowers Background stamp
from Hero Arts, then colored the flowers with Gelatos.

I pressed the tip of the Gelatos metallic colors onto the flowers and spread the
color with my finger.

The color is very much like chapstick and spreads smoothly.

Kind of like making pretty mud pies!

I added some non metallic Gelato to the centers of the flowers.

I added some shading by putting the Gelato on my palette and picking up some color
with an Aqua Painter.

For the background, I used a Pitt Artist Big Brush pen in May Green to scribble on my palette,
picked up the color with an Aqua painter and did a wet on wet wash around the colored flowers.

(BTW, it's so easy to make a palette for markers and ink by
laminating a half sheet of white cardstock.)

I'm entering this in The Flower Challenge #11

I have shiny embossing and the metallic Gelatos also shine.

Here's a closer look of that shine.

I stamped 2 small pieces at the same time since this is such a large stamp.

I watercolored this one with Zigs.

Quite a different look!

Both sentiments are from the Thoughtful Messages set at SSS.

This set was a birthday present from my dear friend Loll.
I can see that this set will get a lot of love.
Thanks again, dear friend!

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Gorgeous. That's a very talented finger painter you have there. I love both colorways, and it looks fun to do this. Forget I have gelatos. The vellum band sentiment is perfect. TFS & Hugs

How cool to show us the two cards together so we can see the difference! Thanks, Bonnie! They are both gorgeous! Gelatos. Another product I bought years ago and have never used. Sigh. I think aliens come and take over my body during the day and steal hours and hours! Thank you for playing in the JUGS challenge, my friend! Hugs, Darnell

What a lovely and thoughtful birthday present from Loll. Both cards are so pretty..I've never used the gelatos but they do look artsy and fun x Good idea too to laminate white card stock as a palette x

Two quite different looks but equally lovely! I have some gelatos but never use them so much try your "finger painting" method as I really like the results you got.

So pretty! Love that background stamp. They look so different using the different colouring mediums. I bet it was fun getting inky fingers with the gelatoes. :) xx

Wonderful two cards, wonderful picture stamp. In the second card catches my attention this small blue flower, in which the color is so incredibly spread.
