Lake View for CAS Mix Up

Hello friends.

We're halfway through the month already!

There's a little over a week left to play at
Using stamping, watercolor wash and dry embossing.

The Design Team and our Guest Designer, Cathy R.
have some fantastic inspiration to share with you.

I've used a NBUS stamp, Wildflowers, from Technique Tuesday to
stamp on a piece of watercolor wash.

The bloom made me think of mist rising off the lake.

It wasn't intentional, just a happy happening!

I've matted the piece on a bit of black then over some Naturals White
that was dry embossed.

The picture doesn't show the embossing very well.

Another masculine card to add to my stash.

I have quite a few birthdays for the guys coming up.

This also works for CAS Watercolour

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Wildflowers (TT), Fun Birthday Messages (HLS)
Ink:   Versafine Onyx Black
Paper: Watercolor (Arches cold press), Naturals White, Basic Black (SU)

Beautiful happy accident watercolour wash mist, Bonnie. Love how it looks like the fog we get raising up from the river every morning, especially in the Fall. Gorgeous silhouette scene my friend. TFS and hosting this month my friend. Hugs.

What a perfect card for this time of year - looks like the Canada Geese formations that are starting to migrate! Love the effect (even if accidental) of your watercolour wash and the bloom it created - perfect for the images!

Beautifully done! The bloom reminds me of the distant land while looking across a small, inland lake. What a fabulous effect, intentional or not! Awesome card!

Fantastic wash background Bonnie, it does look like mist rising or a distant shore, love the silhouette stamps too, Cathy x

Love the balance between the flowers on the lower left and the birds in the upper right. This scene actually looks like a photo of an early morning mist on a lake or river!

I am always enamored of the 'happenings' when you watercolor, or smoosh for that matter. The results have such an artistic background scene look without even trying. This one with your mist on the lake is a perfect example and it's a lovely , serene scene, Bonnie. Well, as long as the geese aren't honking. ;)

Another lovely card Bonnie! The birds remind me of the geese that fly in and out here, especially in the winter.
