Glorious Gerber Daisies for Fall

Hi.  I'm so glad you stopped by.

I scratched my head over this one!

I settled on the Glorious Gerber Daisies die by Memory Box
and decided to put it on a piece of marbling.

Jack wanted to play with shaving cream a couple of weeks ago.

This is a piece that he did.

It would have more more orange if he hadn't run out of red food coloring.

I was bad and didn't tell him I had more.  Sssh!

The center of the flowers was made by rubbing 2 Styrofoam balls together
inside a small zip lock bag.  Then I added a couple drops of re-inker to color it,
sealed the bag and smooshed the Styrofoam crumbs around to even out the color.
After it dried it was ready to add to the flowers.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Funny! I have just done a card with the shaving cream a few days ago. Love the technique - fun messy and smells divine. I also use food colouring sometimes. Cheaper than reinkers. I haven't had any luck with styrofoam rubbing but the centres of that fabulous daisy die here is a perfect final touch. Love the strips on the side too Bonnie. Another beautiful card.

Good looking card. Like the orange strip against the black base on the side and the die cut in black is striking. Creative way to do the flower centers and add texture and color....inspires me to try it with white flower-soft.

I love this card! Jack did a wonderful background with shaving cream and I like that soft color. The black daisies and cool centers pop against it and the stripes tie it altogether. Have a great weekend, Bonnie.

Beautiful. Love the marbled background. I think it has just the right amount of orange in it. Very creative way to do the centers of the flowers. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful, slightly restless marble background. The black Gerbera silhouettes look great on him. I did not quite understand how you made Styrofoam, but they look really beautiful. Perfectly complement the flowers.
