Stencil, Stencil for CAS Mix Up

Hello, my friends.

It's time for a new challenge at CAS Mix Up.

First, here's my card.

Julia is hosting our challenge this month.
I used stamping, layering 3 different stencils, masking, and die cutting

I began by using the leftover piece from die cutting the Memory Box Delicate Fern
as a stencil, sponging through it with Distress Oxide ink.
It went on so smooth!

I cut some more ferns from all over sticky Post-it notes and
laid them over the stenciled ferns.

Then I laid a dotty stencil over top and added some Distress Oxide ink through that
with a sponge dauber.

Wanting some color in my garden, I used a Tim Holtz stencil, sponging
with dye inks for the flowers.

I wanted more vibrant colors for the flowers and I love
the contrast between the two different inks!

After trying several different colors and typed of ink for the sentiment,
I settled on using the Peeled Paint Distress Oxide ink.
I thought the softness of that ink fit best with the feeling of the card.

Now it's your turn.

I hope you'll pull out your stencils and join us at CAS Mix Up.

If you need some helpful inspiration, check out the fantastic cards
our Design Team has come up with.

We have some video tutorials at the challenge site too.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

The ferns and flowers stencils look great together Bonnie and I love the little dots you have used in the background, and very clever to use the waste from a die cut to ink through for the ferns. I love the stitched frame too. A beautiful card! x
