Rainbow with Birds on a Wire for CAS Watercolour

Hello friends.

Just over a month to join in at CAS Watercolour.

Another Rainbow card for
Loll's CAS Watercolour Challenge

This was a test of using the Acetate Smoosh Technique I used on this card.

It was too pretty to throw away.

I added the silhouette birds on a wire, die cut twice and stacked,
then framed it, stamped a sentiment and was done.

Well I did mount the design on a piece of foam and attach it to a card base.

Then I was done!

The bird die was a gift from a sweet friend.
Thanks so much.  I love it!

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Snippets (PB)
Ink:   Festive Berries, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Salty Ocean (DI), Onyx Black (Versafine)
Paper:   Mixed Media, Neena, Basic Black
Other:  Double Pierced Rectangles Die (Avery Elle), Birds on Wire (AE)

I'll echo Lynn, and then say "Why didn't I think of a design like this?" It's really neat with the birds silhouette over that splash of color Very fresh and fun. I like the shadowbox effect with the stitched edges of the aperture enclosing that pretty rainbow & birds! TFS & Hugs

Lovely job ink smooshing with the acetate, Bonnie. You got good control and wonderful blending. Good thing you didn’t toss that piece. The diecut birds is perfect. xx

Aren't those colors pretty - don't see how you get all you get done!
You must have a maid, cook and someone to do laundry!

What a striking rainbow of color behind your birds on a wire. Great watercolor background, Bonnie. Love how you were able to keep the colors separated too.

Very artsy and interesting card. That die cut in black combined with the "free flow" background are just perfect together. You are so good at this(!)

A lovely smooshed rainbow. And a lovely design with all that white and the black silhouettes.

I find sometimes the practice pieces turn out as good or better than the finished card. This one is so colorful, Bonnie, and goes great with the bird silhouette.
