Alcohol Inked Leaves

Hello, friends.

This card uses a Penny Black die that was in my NBUS box.

It was cut from a piece of photo paper inked with greens and blending solution.
(I used a felt pad and applicator to do the inking.)

The die cut frame was glued (very carefully with a fine tip)
to a stitched die cut rectangle then layered on another alcohol ink
piece done in the same colors.

On this card, I used some more of the same alcohol inked piece
as the previous leaves.

I die cut these leaves with a Poppystamps die then used the negative as a
stencil to add some embossing paste to a background.

For added interest, I dry embossed a strip of white cardstock
to put behind my framed leaves.

Beautiful looks on both of these lovely cards. Love how the photo paper took the alcohol blending too. Adding the embossing on the border stripe of #2 - along with the pretty stitched framing, really added a lot to the gorgeous leaves. TFS & Hugs

I really love your cards, Bonnie. The layering on the first card gives it such texture and dimension and that delicate die cut must have been a bugger to glue on straight. I love the sentiment on the vertical too. Thanks for sharing your card with us at Just Us Girls.

Two beautiful alcohol ink cards Bonnie. Love the fresh colours of green and white. The layered leaves with the matching background make a lovely sympathy card. And I love how you've used the negative from your die-cut leaves on the second card to use it as a stencil to add paste. xx

Two fabulous cards! Love the blend of greens! I especially love the second card with the negative from the die cut used as a stencil for embossing paste leaves, and then the green ones layered over them.

I love the colors and effect of your Alcohol Ink leaves and the panel, Bonnie! Very soothing mixture of greens. The way you stamped the sentiment of the first card is fresh, and the white-on-white die-cut leaves and the dry embossed strip of the second card add texture and interest. Love both cards! Hideko xx
