Magic Butterfly and Stencil Monoprint

Hello dear friends.

I hope you're having a wonderful weekend.

I've been seeing Alexandra Renke products on your blogs and couldn't resist
buying a few things for myself.

We are such an enabling community!

I LOVE this butterfly die and cut it three times from watercolor paper.

I watercolored one die cut using some re-inker and water.

The other two die cuts were glued together and I used the watercolor around the edges.

When the butterfly was dry, I used a black marker to color in the body and antennae.

Waiting for it to dry is the hardest but most necessary part!

One of my online friends had enabled me to find some black Lindy's Magicals
and I played with the stencil monoprint technique using some of that
magical powder.  It's amazing to see all the colors in this black powder.

This piece was a second pull from the monoprint.

You can get a peek at the Alexandra Renke Washi tape I put on the inside of the card.

Edited again to add to:  CAS on Friday
BUTTERFLIES
Thanks, Trina.

Edited to add this to : AAA Cards #122
I used the Falling Snow Stencil

There's still time to join in at CAS Mix Up with a stencil monoprint.
My mixed media are Stencil Monoprint, Die Cuts, Watercoloring,
Lindy's Magical Powders and Stamping

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Wow, Bonnie! There is no way I'd have guessed you used the black magicals on that background! It's fantastic and I not only love the butterfly die but love how you watercolored it. What a beautiful card you have created! You are definitely on a creative roll there!

Gorgeous colours for your stencil monoprint Bonnie. Interesting that there really isn't any black. :) So pretty, especially with your gorgeous yellow butterfly. xx

Well that explains why it is call Magicals! So good looking! Yes, it is easy to be enabled in this community. lol Hugs, Brenda

I love this monoprint. The beautiful colors and that gorgeous die. Guess Lindy's Magicals are on my wish list now. I love Alexandra Renke products and would love to have them all! Her papers are wonderful and that snowdrop die - oh my gosh! You did not mention a porch so I guess I won't be coming after all. I'm off to unpack and throw some laundry in.

Of course, it's a gorgeously watercolored butterfly, and I liked the way you've done the body of the critter. The black magical looks awesome, and I didn't expect there to be so much 'color' besides black in it! It's very bright to be a 2nd pull as well. Glad you were able to play in several challenges with this pretty card. TFS & Hugs
