Stenciled Leaves

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I have another stenciled card today.  This one is for a grandson's birthday and it's
a monarch size slimline card that works great for a money holder.

I have lots of stencils, but I'll admit that they are not something I think to pull out
unless there is a challenge to use them.  That doesn't stop me from buying more though.
And I always usually enjoy using them.

I thought these leaves would work well for a masculine adult card.  It's hard to believe
that he is an adult now.  Time flies!

I used brushes to add fall colors of ink through the stencil and added some
depth with watercolor pencils.

Then I added some stamped splatters.  I'm not sure I like them, but they are
here to stay.

Challenges:
Krafty Chicks #787 - Masculine
Time Out #298 - Pick two from the board below (I picked Season (Fall), Edge and if stamped counts I've got spatters too)

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Thoughtful Messages (SSS), Splatters (?)
Ink:   Early Espresso, Baked Brown Sugar (SU), Crushed Olive, Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade (DI)
Paper:   Neenah Solar White
Other:  Leaves stencil (SSS), Caran d'ache Supracolor Pencils (Dk Carmine), Arteze Watercolor Pencil (Hazlenut)

Enjoy!

  9. Fall in its many-colored splendor! I think this works well for a masculine card, or equally so for a feminine card. Your splatters add interest to the blended white space, in my humble opinion -- well done

  15. Love the soft mix of fall colours for your beautiful leaves down the one side of your card. Adding the light shading in the background really shows them off beautifully. Love the stamped splatters ... great way to have some control over where they land. xx

  16. Stunning card Bonnie! I forget about my stencils too. I’m glad you played with this one. You’ve chosen great colours and blended them beautifully together. I don’t mind the splatters, adds a little whimsy. Thank you for playing with the MASCULINE themed project with the Krafty Chicks Challenge.
