I've been lax in doing Christmas cards and will be sorry when it's time to send
them if I don't start working on them.
I didn't use this die set nearly enough last year.
The chickadee and pine boughs were cut from mixed media paper and watercolored
with a combination of inks. I added some sparkly snow to the branches.
The embossing on the label was done with the nesting dies after it was cut.

What a great idea to use the nesting dies to emboss the label, Bonnie. The chickadee is so cute as the star of the card.

ReplyDeleteBeautifully designed card, Bonnie. I really like the embossing of the card panel, those beautiful little openwork patterns. It adds a wonderful touch to the card and really showcases the pretty bird on the spruce branch. A wonderful card for your Christmas collection.

I hear ya about getting to those Christmas cards Bonnie and just made one yesterday myself! Your Chickadee is so beautifully water colored and looks so sweet all nestled in those snowy and sparkly branches! Love the teeny, tiny pinecones too! Loving all the pretty embossing also! ReplyDeleteBirds are one of my favourite images and this one is so sweet and pretty Bonnie, and I love the pine boughs and cones looking very seasonal with the added sparkly snow, and the label shaped mat over the wonderful pierced background work beautifully. x
