Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
It's October and time for the Jingle Belles Pink Christmas.
I really appreciate that Stef and Lauren do this every year!
I've embossed poinsettias on some light pink cardstock (it's really more pinky
than this photo shows). A few pats with a white inkpad over the raised portions
made a quick background.
I pulled out a die set with a poinsettia in it and die cut it three times; once from
a light green and twice from white. I used a small blending brush inking it with
some pink ink and added color to the center of the flowers and lightly pulled the
color over the petals.
The set included some Christmas greenery and I cut some of them from light
green cardstock. After inking them up, I tucked them around the flower.
The berries were punched from white glimmer and I used the ink left on the
brush to color them for berries. The were placed over the "leaves" on a
sprig included in the die set.
I think this challenge ends this evening. I really meant to get an earlier start and
make more than one. Best laid plans! Do check them out and I hope they get
lots of entries again this year. You can find them here.

ReplyDeleteI'd meant to make more than one for the Jingle Belles challenge too but time got away from me. Your card is gorgeous - love the background with the hints of white on the raised areas, and the focal point poinsettia is so beautiful, especially on that label die.
ReplyDeleteI totally forgot about this challenge. Your pink poinsettia is beautiful, Bonnie, and I love all the extra greens gathered around it.

ReplyDeleteThis is very pretty with the white ink added over the background pink poinsettia EF Bonnie, and the white added mat with the die cut poinsettia, foliage and berries looks beautiful with some soft added pink to the flower centre and the berries, and a lovely green for the leaves behind it, and also a perfect sentiment to finish. x
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful Bonnie!
ReplyDeleteI'm learning of this challenge for the first time and sorry I missed it. I do love a pink Christmas card and yours is a beauty! So delicate and lovely. Bonnie, I'm not sure if I thanked you for my luscious lemon bday card. You know I love yellow and I do have a thing for citrus cards. It's perfect! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteRegardless of whether the photo captures the true color of the panel, this card is wonderful. I love that you’ve gone over the embossed details with white ink—it really brings out the design. And this background is the perfect setting for that lovely poinsettia. The white and pink version is my favorite!
ReplyDeletehugs,
