Floral Focus for Fall

Hi there.  I'm glad you stopped to visit.

I finally got to work with this fantastic MFT stamp and die.

First up is a card I did using the MFT Color Challenge

I used Pumpkin Pie and Tangerine Tango for the flowers and mixed
Sahara Sand and Granny Apple Green for the leaves.

This is a large image so I used the die to cut it then cut it apart to get
two images.

For the base card, I've used Natural cardstock and for the strips Primitive White.

Then I put it all together using the MFT Weekly Sketch Challenge.

And a twofer....

The other part of the image fit in a circle aperture quite well for

They are celebrating their 4th Birthday!

Congratulations and wishes for many more birthdays!

Since this is the first outing for this stamp and die, I'll hop over to

Enjoy!

More Flowers in Bloom

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I think I'm on time for the MFT Sketch Challenge this time.  Usually when I'm
ready to post, the challenge is over.  The weeks go by too fast!

This is one of my favorite stamps to color.  I use Distress markers to ink
the stamp and added color from Distress ink smooshed on my palette.

To color the strips, I first wet them, and added some of the lightest pink
ink from my palette then dipped it in the other colors that were pretty wet.
I added some black dots in the center of the flowers to tie in the black sentiment.
Wish I hadn't done that.  The splatters worked out okay though.

Fall Flowers in Bloom

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by to enjoy a taste of Fall with me!

These pretty flowers are from My Favorite Things and right now they are my
favorite stamp.  I want to do them in lots of colors.

I've stamped and heat embossed with white powder, then used my
Zigs and a waterbrush to color the flowers.

A light wash of the yellow and orange and some brown and gray
splatters finish it off.

I'm also sharing with

Flower Split

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!
I hope the week is off to a good start for you.

When I was visiting my friend Michele's blog the other day, I saw that
My Favorite Things has some challenges now.

I don't have a lot of MFT things, but I'm on my way to starting a collection.
I purchased this set after my friend Joanna sent me this card for my birthday.

I was able to combine both of the MFT challenges.

Since I used snippets for my flower pieces, I can also visit the
