Playing with Ribbon

The Technique Lover's Challenge on SCS this week was to do something different with ribbon. No bows or knots.

I used some organdy ribbon that I've had for years! I just used a needle and thread to gather it and sewed the prettiest button I could find in my button can in the center. I used the rest to soften the band under the flower.

It's hard to tell but I used the new Teahouse Background Stamp with Blushing Bride ink on the Blushing Bride cardstock. I think next time I will try Pretty in Pink ink and see if it shows up better.

The sentiment is from a new set called Perfect Punches. I stamped it twice and cut out the small oval and popped it up in the center.

Quick and simple.

Card Recipe
Stamps: Teahouse, Perfect Punches
Ink: Blushing Bride, Cherry Cobbler
Paper: Blushing Bride, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White
Acc.: Scallop Trim Border Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Organdy Ribbon, Button

Have a wonderful weekend and I hope you get time to stamp.
