I have been struggling with this card since Sunday! The Less is More challenge this week is to use Acetate. I was tempted to pass up this particular challenge, because I don't like working with this medium. But I've been a LIMette (the name they've given us LIM groupies) since the first challenge and didn't want to break my record. And challenges aren't supposed to be easy!
I didn't have much acetate and what little I had didn't last long with the first few tries. This was the last teeny, tiny scrap!
Then I had a hard time photographing this card. The butterfly was blurred in every picture I took. I guess it's the reflection. Anyway, I had to lay it down on the floor and stand directly over it to get a somewhat clear shot. I think it's still a bit blurred. It looks better IRL.
There's scoring around the butterfly window. I don't know that you can see it in the picture.
Card Recipe
Stamps: Strength & Hope, Thoughts & Prayers
Ink: Black StazOn
Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, Acetate
Accessories: Basic Pearls (colored with a black permanent marker)
We've had beautiful weather here in NC. Maybe that's part of the reason that I am struggling with designs. It's too nice to stay inside!
Thanks for stopping in to visit.
Enjoy!
Bonnie

Bonnie, it's fab.
ReplyDeleteI REALLY appreciate you taking up the challenge and not just picking and choosing...it feels super to have such loyalty amongst our number!
This is just lovely, a beautiful card for a difficult occasion.
Enjoy your week.

"Less is More"
this is very cool
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely Bonnie, you can see the detail a bit better if you click on your photo. x
ReplyDeleteBoy, I've been 'away' too long....haven't heard of LIMettes before!! Sounds like a perfect challenge for you, Bonnie. You are an ace at the "less is more" style and approach. I love this new butterfly...just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card simple and sophisticated, well done.

Now...see there...you CAN work with acetate! If it was easy, it wouldn't be a challenge! LOL! I almost didn't do a card this week either....but I glad both of us did. Sure would hate to spoil our perfect attendance record! I love how this turned out!
ReplyDeleteI thinks this is absolutely beautiful. The butterfly is wonderful and , yes, you can see the scoring around the window. It's great!
ReplyDeleteA Limette, huh? That's too cute. Love your card. I know how hard it is to photograph something when you use acetate.
ReplyDeleteGlad your weather is better...ours too, except for lots of rain and clouds.
I think you did a fabulous job with the acetate! It's amazing how much the acetate layer jazzes up a cas card!
ReplyDeleteLove this card! I really like how the addition of the acetate really makes a cas card so classy!
