Today's card uses the colors from the Color Q challenge, Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Bermuda Bay, Black & White.
I can do pretty well with 2 colors and a neutral, but sometimes that 3rd color really stumps me. This time it was the Bermuda Bay. I kind of mulled it over for a couple of days and couldn't really decide on what I wanted to try. When I opened the stamp drawer to see if something would jump out at me, I saw the little Elizabeth stamp and an idea was born.
I stamped the image with Black StazOn then colored it with my SU Markers. Like I said, the Bermuda Bay was stumping me, then I tried coloring the edge of the oval with it, and wow, I really liked what it added. Trouble is that in coloring the image, I covered up most of the black.
I stamped the image a second time so I could cut out the oval and pop it up with the sentiment.
I used simple mats of Melon Mambo and Basic Black. I would have made it a one layer card, but I stamped it off center. I think the layers worked well with it though.
