I was in a quandary. The OLW challenge this week was to use a cat or dog on a card. Yikes! I don't have any cat or dog stamps! I have some mice and thought of putting the mouse with the cat out of the picture, but I didn't really think I could get away with that!
Then I remembered a blog I had visited a while back. This very talented gal, Torico, draws beautifully and has some free digis on her blog. I checked it out and found these sweet puppies. Who could resist? She also has some adorable digis for sale on Etsy. Here's a link to Torico's blog. Go ahead and take a look. You'll be glad you did!
I hope you'll have a great weekend. We'll be spending some time with the grandkids so I doubt I'll get to stamp much.
Thanks for stopping by to visit. Remember to uncheck the "keep me signed in" on the Google box to leave a comment.
Enjoy!

Aren't these little guys so sweet? Torico colored hers much better in blonde shades. I had a problem with the ink smudging. Evidently the Stampin' Up! card stock doesn't accept the ink from my printer very well. Hence, we have a litter of gray puppies instead of black & white. I colored them with Prismacolor pencils and blended with odorless turpentine and cotton swabs. The sentiment stamp is a renegade that was hiding in my drawer.
The F4A challenge at SCS today is a Free for All, literally. We could do anything on a card as long as there's something that's free. This stamp qualifies. Yippee!
Stamps: Sweet Puppies (Torico's Digi)
Ink: Basic Black
Paper: Whisper White
Accessories: Prismacolor Pencils

Very puppy cute!!!
ReplyDeleteYour puppies are such cuties...great for the 'freebie' challenge, too. Just a precious card!
ReplyDeleteToo cute! Free digis are good! Next time you print a digi, especially if you have an ink jet printer, try heat setting the ink before you color. I've done that and my ink didn't smear.
ReplyDeleteHave fun with the grandkids. We'll be having almost all of our crew here on Saturday. I'll be keeping our 18 mo old granddaughter while everyone goes tubing down the river, then we'll all gather back here for a low country boil...I think the count is up to 28 now!
Have a great Memorial Day!
my card is HERE
Those puppies are so sweet! I love how you used the stamp and I think the colouring is lovely!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the challenge and thanks for playing along with OLW55!
Hi Bonnie,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for leaving a comment on my blog. I'm so glad that you used my image for a CAS card! (I LOVE CAS style!:))
Thank you for sharing!

I adore those puppy images. Great job on the challenge - adorable card. I forgot about those images when doing this challenge. When you print with SU cardstock, try changing the setting on your printer to the transparency setting. Then heat set.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely adorable, Bonnie! It looks like you *meant* for these puppies to look all gray. Super cute!
ReplyDeleteYay for resourcefulness! Those puppies should make anyone feel better. I think having them subdued is nice, actually.
ReplyDeleteThese are such cute puppies. I am glad you found something so you could participate. Like you I am not a cat or dog person. However I have 3 dod stamps. TFS
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable Bonnie and I love the grey litter of puppies! Vx
ReplyDeleteThey're so lovely, lots of fun and a cute card:0) xxx
ReplyDeleteYour determination paid off--great card...and that's saying a lot from a cat lover!
