Serene River Rock and Artichoke

Serene Silhouettes may not be a silhouette this time, but it is serene due to the Dynamic Duos challenge.

 This week's colors are

I used the layout from the CAS challenge at SCS this week.  The inspiration card is simply beautiful and I was tempted to do an exact CASE.  I loved how she used her Crop-A-Dile for the embossing across the bottom of her card and I did that.  My Crop-A-Dile pretty much just sits there gathering dust.  I was happy to find another good use for it.

I think this would be a good card to send to a guy or as a sympathy card.

All supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Serene Silhouettes, Teeny, Tiny Wishes
Ink:  Always Artichoke, SU Markers (Always Artichoke, River Rock)
Paper:  River Rock Textured, Always Artichoke, Whisper White
Other:  Linen Thread, Crop-A-Dile (retired)

Our weather has turned so nice!  After days of heat and humidity, we've had a warm but breezy and humidity free day today. How lovely!

I'm so glad you stopped by.  I hope you come back soon.

Enjoy!

  3. I struggled so much to make a sympathy card yesterday. I couldn't get the right colours, the right feel, anything. This colour combination works beautifully for it. I love these stamps - hope we get these ones too!

  4. This is so classy Bonnie - and yes, the design is serene too. Love the Crop-a-dile embossing (I sold mine ages ago as I never used it - wish I'd kept it now)! River Rock is one of my all-time favourite SU colours and it looks fantastic here, combined with the AA and white.

  7. Gorgeous card! You're right - it would be a great masculine card. I must keep that in mind - and use some of my botanical stamps for masculine cards but just in this kind of a colour scheme instead of my usual floral colour schemes.

  11. Gorgeous, Bonnie. Such pretty, textured paper, too. I know what you mean about your Crop-A-Dile gathering dust. But, occasionally I need it and it sure comes in handy when I do. I like what you did with yours.
