Here's another card for the Less is More challenge. This week it's
Again, I wanted to hang something from this Everything Eleanor flourish. I seem to be hung up (pardon the pun) on hanging stuff from this flourish. Lol, that's only one of many hangups!
I couldn't decide on a sentiment. I'll figure that out later.
I'm liking the way the new Basic Black inkpad works. It's soooo much easier to get a good inking on the stamp. The only trouble is, I get too impatient and end up with smudges. I tried heat setting but got smudges doing that. I'm going to have to remember to leave my projects alone for a while so the ink can dry.
All supplies are Stampin' Up!
Card Recipe
Stamps: Everything Eleanor, Nature Walk
Ink: Basic Black
Paper: Whisper White
Other: Basic Pearl

ONE LAYER CARD

You're making one-layer flourish week look easy! I'm still thinking!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful! Love the way the little birdcage looks like it's hanging on the "branch".
ReplyDeleteLynn
That's so cute, Bonnie. It looks like it is hanging from the branch of a tree! Like it's the Rich Bird that lives in the gated community in the better trees!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on using inks that have to dry before you can work the rest of your card. Not happening.
Beautiful card, Bonnie! You're making me want that flourish . . . I only have a gazillion already =D
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up on the SU black ink pad. I've been waiting on reviews before purchasing it.
What a fabulous idea--again!! I love the concept of hanging things from the flourish! That black ink looks really sharp on the card too.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, Bonnie. It's a gorgeous flourish and works so well the way you've used it. :) ann Y.
ReplyDeleteI Love this - I had exactly the same idea with a birdcage, but then I saw yours so I changed to another direction. I'm sure flourishes are meant to have something hanging from them and a birdcage looks perfect!
ReplyDeleteBonnie this is stunning I love the pearl on the top of the cage~Beautiful card
ReplyDeleteThis looks gorgeous Bonnie, I love the pearl attaching the birdcage to the flourish!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much
Chrissie

ReplyDeleteKathyk
So pretty, Bonnie. What a great way to hang the cage. Lovely flourish.
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie,
ReplyDeletethe birdcage looks fabulous suspended from the swirl - a perfect CAS card.

The black and white is so elegant! Great card! It doesn't need a sentiment - it makes a fabulous notecard just the way it is!
ReplyDeleteI love this EE flourish Bonnie
ReplyDeleteI must buy the set
Terrific card
Thank you very much

Wow, this is stunning Bonnie. I love the stamps you used and the single pearl is a perfect embellishment.
ReplyDeleteLove it! That pearl is perfect to "attach" the bird cage to the flourish...lovin that b/w combo too!
ReplyDeleteI must say, your cards keep getting better and better! This card makes me want to get out my un-inked flourishes and give one a try.
ReplyDeleteReally sweet card, Bonnie. Simple and elegant!
ReplyDeleteI love flourishes, I love birdcages (especially this one - and mine's never seen ink - naughty of me!), and I love how you put them together, Bonnie!
ReplyDeleteThis looks fabulous Bonnie. I'm loving this flourish too and your cage with the pearl is just brill. x
ReplyDeleteTHis is so CAS and so pretty with that tiny pearl! Love it!
ReplyDelete{I love those new ink pads too - they stamp a much better image}
