I'm just under the wire for the Freshly Made Sketch this week. At least I hope I'll have this posted before the gong sounds.
I was stamping with friends in Roanoke Rapids Saturday and got this done. I can't take everything when I go. It would take a moving van, LOL. So I had limited supplies. That was a challenge, but a fun one
Yesterday was so busy that I didn't get a chance to post it. I see that the big butterfly doesn't show up as a flutterer. His wings are a bit raised. I was hurrying too much to take the photo.

Today is my birthday and we celebrated yesterday with our daughters. They bought me a Kindle. I never thought I wanted one, but I can see lots of possibilities that it will open up. Especially since the CD player in my car is being fickle and doesn't always want to work. If it dies completely I'll have a means to listen to my audiobooks. And I can read some of Ken Follet's heavy novels without straining my wrist. Do you have a Kindle or Nook? How do you like it?
I'm so glad you could join me today. I'll be stopping in to see you if you leave a comment.
Enjoy!
The butterflies look beautiful. I also love those blues! Happy birthday (another Cancerian), hope you had a wonderful day. Thanks so much for playing along at ATS xx

ReplyDeleteCongrats on last week's win Bonnie and this card is fabulous as well! Everyone loves butterflies and these are so vibrant. Belated birthday wishes and I love my kindle too. It's brilliant for holidays as I usually need at least 5 books, I can access my blog and emails and to be able to download free samples of books is amazing:) Good luck this week Bonnie and thanks for playing along again at ATS.

Blue is my favourite colour so I instantly fell in love with your card! It's perfection!
ReplyDeleteI've had a Kobo (a Canadian product a lot like a Kindle) for a year now. I bought it for a three week trip to France last fall and I loved it - I had 5 novels and a travel guide on it and it only weighs 6 ounces! But I still like reading real books so will probably mostly use the Kobo for travelling - it saves so much space and weight!
Love your MOVING VAN comment, I know the feeling.............Jen, are iPads not the most wonderful thing ?
ReplyDeleteYour card is beautiful and I do love the blue/white combo.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your win..always a great feeling.
Enjoy the Kindle and Happy Belated Birthday.
Lovely card. And a happy belated birthday. Hope it was great!
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie. Love your simplicity on your card still with loads of detail. The blue on the butterflies is so vibrant.
ReplyDeleteI was given a kindle for going on hols but like you never thought I wanted one. However I loved it whilst away. No need to take loads of books with you and the screen was great in sunlight.
