Here's another card that I made while playing with the baby wipe technique.
The CAS challenge at SCS this week is to use Dark Blue and White.
I used Bashful Blue, Not Quite Navy and Night of Navy re-inkers on the baby wipe. I went heavy to the darker colors.
Here's one that we made at Papercrafting using Marina Mist, Baja Breeze and Certainly Celery.
I think I like the last one best.
The embossing folder is in the new Holiday Mini. It has a little Christmas tree embossed in it but by placing the bird strategically it's not just for Christmas. Thanks for the idea, Doris.
When I was finished, I laid a piece of cardstock on the baby wipe and pressed it down. It made a delightful background. I haven't had a chance to stamp anything on it yet.
This ended up being a long post. Thanks for bearing with me. I'm not going to add a card recipe. I'll be glad to answer any questions. Just email me.
And thank you for all your kind comments. I really appreciate them. I love it when you come to visit!
Enjoy!

And with a Marina Mist card and a little branch from the bird punch.

I LOVE that embossing folder!! These cards are all so beautiful! Love the effect on the birds too--just like watercolors. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteAll are so pretty and I love that embossed area! We must be on the same wave length or something as I posted a card today using the bird punch - and next week will have one using the baby wipe technique! LOL!
ReplyDeleteLove your cards, Bonnie!

I love all three but agree with you that the third one is the best - it has such a nice mix of colours and the punched branch really adds something.
ReplyDeleteSuper "tweet" Bonnie! Three beautifully inked cards. Hugs, Lesley
ReplyDeleteThat's really cool how you've used the technique on the birds! It's like they are paper pieced without all the fussy cutting - fantastic!
ReplyDeleteReally pretty cards! The birds really pop against the white.
ReplyDeleteThese are all so pretty, and I love how that technique gives each card it's own distinctive look! Beautiful embossing too!
ReplyDeleteThese are all so striking and beautiful, Bonnie. Love the embossing and, of course, the gorgeous birds.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful embossed frame and the birds are great!
ReplyDeleteYou've made the embossing folder much more appealing, Bonnie! I love it on it's side and the birds are all brilliant in their inked up colours.

Hi Bonnie, Just looking around and wanted to thank you for your kind comments on my mistletoe card. I did change it around for my use. It just bothered me knowing what it was and then have it go upward. LOL! I love how you used the Holiday Frame for a normal card. You know I have that bird punch and I have never used it. Your card is beautiful though. Have a great day. Hugs, Bev
