Do you have a thing about spiders? Big, fat, juicy spiders? Halloween spiders? If you do, you're probably not going to like this. Or maybe you will. She's pretty harmless.
When I saw this card by Sandi MacIver, I knew I'd have to CASE it. I changed it up a bit though to fit some challenges.
Dynamic Duos challenge
Less is More challenge
simply incorporate an
OVAL
into your design somewhere.
to use snippets of card, paper, ribbon, lace, etc.
and to play nicely in the playground.
It's great fun to go there, let me tell you. Always good for lots of laughs.
I thought it would be fun to do something on the inside too.
I even remembered to stamp before I embossed. ;)
All supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted
Card Recipe
Stamps: Spooky Bingo Bits, Wacky Wishes (Hostess set)
Ink: Jet Black StazOn, Lucky Limeade, SU Marker (Basic Black)
Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, Lucky Limeade, Festival of Prints DSP Stack
Other: Big Shot, Spider Web EF, Googlies, Quilting thread (non SU)
The legs were drawn with my Black Marker and a very shaky hand from the looks of them.
I'm so glad you stopped by. I hope you come back soon.
Enjoy!
Like your interpretation of Sandi's card - that embossing folder is great. Elizabeth xx
ReplyDeleteScarey stuff :) But kinda cute too - and what a clever oval for LIM. the Playground has seen a lot of activity lately - the girls went mad while I was away and have been building a tree house!
ReplyDeleteYou know, a few blogs I follow aren't appearing on my updates - but I just looked back and there are some lovely cards here.
I think the guy was dressing up BTW, I had this sad vision of him all alone in a little apartment with a huge mirror for company :(
Hugs, Di xx
Hi Bonnie, you are seated right next to me. :) I love your little green oval spider. What a great way to use an oval and so smart. Adorable card and the inside is beautiful as well.

ReplyDeleteSuper card!
Hi Bonnie
ReplyDeleteI don't mind spiders . .. and yours looks super friendly.
Mind you I am not so keen on the ones that keep making huge webs in the garden at the moment (and which I keep walking through because I hadn't seen them LOL!!).
Great card. Love the embossed web. The inside looks great too.
A great way to use up those snippets!
I hope you are having a good week.
Love Jules xx
I must say, Bonnie, that is the cutest spider I've ever seen. Just don't want it crawling on me. LOL

ReplyDeleteYour spider is cute and very decorative. The embossed web is perfect.
ReplyDeleteIs that a spider or a big fat June bug or potato bug caught in the spider's web, crying EEK?!! It's adorable, Bonnie, and a great CASE!!
ReplyDeleteSince I never make halloween cards, I would never have thought of this...but that little spider is just too darn cute! Love how you did that!! Maybe I could find a use for a spider that was non-halloween related?
ReplyDeleteCute as cute can be. We have loads of spiders here. In fact our house is called Cobwebs. Hugs Mrs A.
