This is the second post today. I want to get this in to the CAS(E) this Sketch! and the door's about to close. Scroll down to see my Merry Monday card.
Here's the sketch...
The Ways to Use it Challenge at SCS last Thursday was
Black Friday
To make a card in black and white with a pop of color.
The Technique Challenge at SCS today is
Glittery Embossing
The technique is to dry emboss then roll Dazzing Details over the embossing with a brayer. Click on the link above for detailed instructions.
(I didn't capture the glitter in the photo but it's very sparkly IRL.)
I decided to leave off the sentiment. I may use it for a holiday thank you card.
All supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted
Card Recipe
Stamps: Winter Memories
Ink: Jet Black StazOn, SU Markers (Garden Green, Handsome Hunter (retired), Real Red)
Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White
Other: Snow Burst EF (retired), Dazzling Details
I loved ice skating as a kid so this set really brings back winter memories!
Thanks for taking the time to visit again. I'm about to go visiting. Maybe I'll be visiting you soon.
Enjoy!
Gorgeous. I absolutely LOVE the pop of color. And those skates....those skates are perfect!
ReplyDeleteBonnie, I'm at a loss for words. You know what a compliment that is!
ReplyDeleteBonnie, I love these ice skates. I also really like that only the holly is colored. Just gorgeous. I cased a card today that had the ice skates image.
ReplyDeleteLove B & W cards. Lovely job using the sketch. Makes me want to go skating and brings back wonderful memories of skating on the canals in Amsterdam :)

I agree - those skates are indeed perfect and the holly adds a fabby piece of 'pop'. Visions of little scamps in the Playground skating on the duck pond :) Hugs, Di xx
