Our Lesley is starting another Challenge. It's called Seize the Birthday. It's starting January 10th, but Lesley is having a Linky Party right now.
All you need to do is create a new post on your blog with a birthday card you have made in the past or a newly create birthday card. No back linking please. You may use a card you created in the past but please create a new post for it.
This is a card that I made a while back and never posted. I thought this was a good occasion to bring it out.
I'm really excited about this challenge! Lesley's Merry Monday challenge was a big help in having my Christmas cards ready and mailed early. I'm hoping this challenge will keep me caught up on my birthday cards too.
My daughters and I have a tradition of getting together in December to bake cookies. We refer to it as Cookie Day and look forward to it as much as Christmas. Sadly, our grandson Gavin has the flu so they couldn't come. We baked and baked though and I'm on sugar overload! It's always so nice to be together.
So glad you could stop by. Wish I could give you a cookie.
Enjoy!
And I would totally take that cookie!! =D Your card is soooo cute! Love the little birdie!
ReplyDeleteAmazingly beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI just love the font of the HB -- so pretty with the gorgeous bird! :)

Hi Bonnie
ReplyDeleteA wonderful birthday card. Love that image!!!
Love the sound of cookie day too. Sounds a bit like our label day but ours involves fewer calories LOL!!!
Hope the family don't hear about your special day or they will want one of those too!!!
Hope you had a good weekend.
Love Jules xx
Bonnie, your card is absolutely beautiful. I love cards with birds and yours is just perfection.
ReplyDeleteMe too I want a cookie ;) lol!
ReplyDeleteI love the textured edge with the tearing & twine :)
What a wonderful tradition you have with your daughters! Your birthday card is really lovely, Bonnie. Thanks so much for the head's up on Lesley's new challenge!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful job on colouring the bird! I've saved it for inspiration next time I use my Nature Walk set. I wish I could come for a cookie - we could have tea and talk cards and books and libraries!
ReplyDeleteGreat tradition you have got going with your daughters. I have just spent the Weeekend with my own daughter so a large bag of jelly beans was needed to be packed along with the Christmas gifts!!. Your bird card is delightful. I need to make a card for an Aunt whose birthdy it is at christmas so I will go and join in the linky party when it is made. Look forward to the challenge starting in January too. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteLove the robin! Fabulously coloured and a great reminder of spring :)

ReplyDeleteLove the bird image and beautiful card, Bonnie. I see you've made some wonderful creations while I was away.
My kitchen and bathrooms are almost normal again, I'm so happy to say. Just have to wait until after Christmas to get the tile backsplash done.
Have a blessed Christmas.
