Here's another card for the Merry Monday challenge this week. I had this stamped snowman in the UFO (UnFinishedObjects) box. I love the way he fit in this sketch.
We had some SNOW last night! I was so excited! I turned on the floodlights and watched it through the bay window. How pretty. There was a little on the ground this morning but it's melting fast. Not enough for a snowman for sure. But that's OK. I'm just so happy to see it falling.

Here's Lesley's wonderful sketch.
The Free 4 All challenge at SCS this morning is to use flags or banners on a card. Got that covered.
I can add this card to the SCS Fan Club's January Christmas Challenge, Christmas Wedding. The snowman stamp is old, the snowflakes from the Snow Swirled set are new (a Christmas present), and there's lots of blue. Nothing borrowed on this one. I know you have to be a Fan Club member to post on this challenge, but I think you can peek in the gallery even if you aren't.
I used some of the Illuminate Watermark ink with the Itty Bitty Backgrounds stamp. It ended up making the snowman look splotchy. LOL, kinda looks like the birds have been around too long! But it has a shimmery snowflakes.
All supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted

There's still time to make a Christmas card and link it up at Merry Monday. You have until Sunday noon to join in.
Glad you could stop by! And thanks so much when you leave a comment. I really enjoy them!

Lovely card Bonnie. If you want snow you should have been here today - plenty to make a snowman or two! Have a look on my blog but we've had at least another couple of inches since I took the photo.
ReplyDeleteOh, that snow got you in the mood for a pretty snowman card. I love it. The little singing birds are so cute.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got snow. Mine was pretty much NOT MUCH. LOL
Well, I *liked* the shimmery snowflakes!!! It really doesn't look "splotchy" to me--it looks like snowflakes...which I'm happy you got to see in real life. We got nothing but 2 inches of rain here. Boo. ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh, I'd LOVE some snow down here!!! Oh well.....we just never see that white stuff!
ReplyDeleteLove your cute card! I just recently purchased that stamp set and can't wait to ink it up now. It's great for the sketch!

Hi Bonnie, - I commented on your card on SCS but just had to comment here that I love your name "UFO box". I'm going to set up a box on my craft desk today and label it that! Much better than a few random piles of pieces scattered here and there, and the name is so much fun!
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie
ReplyDeleteHow cute is that snowman .. .. I lurve him!!!
Nearly make me want to start my Christmas cards already LOL!!!
Hope you are having a good weekend.
Love Jules xx
OH your card is adorable Bonnie! Love that little snowman! And yay for the snow! We're actually warmer than normal here today in Missouri, but it's supposed to be getting real cold by the first of the week. I'm still waiting on my snow :)
ReplyDeleteI just love that snowman, he is so versatile! Love the colors you chose for the card, so pretty Bonnie!
ReplyDeleteOf all the images around this past Christmas, this one was my favorite! I love your card! And I'm delighted for you that you got to sit and watch the flakes coming down in the dark through the spotlight. I miss watching it snow.
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love the embossing folder! I have used mine a LOT! Cute, cute card...especially that snowman!
ReplyDeleteYour card looks really chilly and frosty just like the scen outside our window! Another fab card for your box. x
