Quite a Pair

I have a really simple card for you tonight.

I finally got to play with the Saturday challenges.

UP IN THE AIR

I masked an area and sponged using a scallop strip as a template for clouds, removed the mask and scored along the edges of the sponging.

All that was left was to stamp the geese.  There are actually 3 geese on this stamp but I only inked 2 since I thought I would use it as an anniversary card for my hubby this year.  I've told you how he thinks everything should have a duck on it.  Geese are close and they mate for life.  Like we did.  Our anniversary isn't for several months, but it will be ready when it rolls around.

All supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Pines (retired), Teeny, Tiny Wishes
Ink:  Tempting Turquoise, Tuxedo Black (Memento), SU Marker (Basic Black)
Paper:  Whisper White, Basic Black
Other:  Stampin' Sponge, Simply Scored, Large Scallop Edgelit (for template)

I hope you've had a great day and found some time to stamp.

Thanks for the visit.

Enjoy!

  30. Gorgeous ! Simple and wonderful! Nice to have this one done ahead of time for your husband. Too funny he thinks every card should have ... duck or geese.

  31. Ah, I love these sponged cards. I really appreciate how difficult this look is to achieve (despite reading about how 'easy' it is! It's not so easy until you get the knack of it!). This one is so serene, and you have the colors sponged so beautifully. Love the flying geese too. Gorgeous & so well done. TFS. More inspiration for me to keep trying 'to get' this technique! Hugs
