First of all, you don't see much vintage on this blog. I enjoy seeing all the vintage cards.
Usually when I try it, I make an ugly mess.
But I keep trying.
Usually when I try it, I make an ugly mess.
But I keep trying.
I even used my least favorite color, Soft Suede on this card. The style and the color seem to be growing on me.
After randomly stamping the images, I sponged a bit of crumb cake on the edges. I went really light with it and I think I like it better this way. LOL, it's almost invisible. Then I spritzed a little Cherry Cobbler over it all. Again, very lightly.
I kinda like it. Something different.
If I'm not too late, I'll take this to the Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge that's calling for Vintage cards.
And at Addicted to CAS they're calling for cards for men
Hope this is CAS enough.
All supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted

ReplyDeleteIt's lovely! I'm terrible at vintage, but I, too, love seeing others' vintage creations. :)

ReplyDeleteBonnie, I love this card. Of course, I'm such a bird lover. It is a super masculine card. And, the soft suede is just perfect for it.
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie. That's exactly how I feel about vintage cards too. I think you did a very lovely job though - really I do. The different stamped elements create a clean but vintage effect. Thanks so much for joining us this week at ATS&M.
ReplyDeleteYou and me, both, Bonnie - I love the look of vintage but just don't seem to be able to pull it off! I'm not very good at collage cards either though I do try! You've done a fabulous one here - love all the layers of images and the subtle shades of the same colour! I'm going to try CASEing it.
ReplyDeleteI really like this "subtle" card, quite beautiful
ReplyDeleteWell I think you have made a fantastic vintage card, I am pleased you enjoyed making it and the colour, though maybe not your favourite has certainly added the vintage touch to the card. Your entry is also perfect for the Masculine card. Thanks for sharing with us at ATS&M and at ATCAS Caz
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie. Great collage stamping! Love images all done in Soft Suede (my favorite shade of brown from SU!). And the touch of Cherry Cobbler spritzing is perfect. Looks vintage to me - great job! Thanks for joining us for both Addicted to Stamps & More and Addicted to CAS. Loll xx
ReplyDeleteBonnie this is a wonderful vintage card perfect for a man without all the fussy embellies! I love anything with birds on and the set of inks with crumb cake and soft suede are my favourite:) Thanks for playing along at ATSM

Love your soft layering. Beautiful card. x
ReplyDeleteThis is so lovely! A wonderful collage effect with such soft colors. This is beautifully vintage, too!
ReplyDeleteI am with you on not doing vintage well but I think you did! I love the CAS vintage too. I think that is why I typically can't do it bc I tend to think it has to have a ton of layers. You proved vintage can be CAS! I love it. Thanks for playing at ATCAS and ATSM this week. :)
ReplyDeleteBonnie .... I think you shoul do this more often , it's gorgeous! I love the color and the way it turned out . Love the bird stamp too.
ReplyDeleteI love the subtlness of this sweet card. I think the spray with the cherry cobbler really makes the card!
