Perfect Punches Birthday

Here's another card I did over the weekend.  It looks pretty simple doesn't it?  Well let me tell you.  It wasn't!

I wanted to use the sketch at Seize the Birthday.  Here it is.....

Did you notice that I left of a couple of layers?  I tried everything I could think of and liked it best just like this.  Maybe I can get those layers in a guy card for next week.

CAS Colours and Sketches is having a colors or (colours) week.

I did get all the colors (colours) in.

Pixies Crafty Workshop  still has the playground open and this was mostly made from snippets.  So I'll skip over there to share this and see what everybody's up to.

All supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Perfect Punches
Ink:  Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Paper:  Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Raspberry Ripple, DSP
Other:  Lacy Oval and Ovals Nesties (Spellbinder), Triple Flower Punch (retired), Itty Bitty Punch Pack, Basic Rhinestones.

Thanks for stopping by.

Enjoy!

  3. Great card and I think if you had put the other layers on it would not have looked so good - sometimes less really is more!

  4. Love your use of the colours and the little flowers are very sweet. Some cards just work against us, but no one would know you had a struggle. x

I'm trying to get a Merry Monday card made this week. Hope I make it.

  8. Bonnie, sometimes the easiest cards turn out to be the hardest! But this turned out wonderful! So lovely and you just can't beat that Bashful Blue.

  10. I agree - I liked YOUR take on the sketch better. I think if you had added more 'stuff' it would have looked less light & airy. I think this is a very pretty card and you did the color combo very nicely adhering to the colors. Great job, and I loved it! TFS

  18. Beautiful creation and I like your version of the sketch. I find that sometimes I head in a direction that I keep trying to make work and realize that I'm not on the right path and change it up. I hope you are having a great day, Shirleyx

  20. Oh, phew, glad to see you didn't go sit down for long! Another beauty, Bonnie, and a fab use of snippets, too. And, no, it doesn't look easy when you stop and really look at it. It looks like a lot of fussy detail which you executed perfectly! (Psst, I don't think it needs any more layers, tshh!)

  21. Came out great--didn't need those other layers!

  22. Hi Bonnie, a brilliant card and perfect as it is. Oh boy, did I struggle with the STB sketch - so pleased that someone as accomplished as you also found it tricky-woo!!

  23. It's a lovely card. I like using sketches for a card layout, but not if they be difficult ones!!! I don't do STRUGGLING! You've made a very nice card from the sketch.
