Dynamic Duos is celebrating their 1st anniversary! In honor of this big event, they have invited us to use any of their Past Colour Combos! Here's my choice.
And the Simon Says Stamp Challenge this week is FLOWER POWER!
This is a card that we did for a sponging class back when this challenge was called. I missed the deadline and didn't get it posted then.
The layout was inspired by this card by Mary T. (jandjccc) posted at SCS.
The flower image was first stamped in Whisper White and heat embossed with white. Wisteria Wonder was sponged around the embossed design. Then the flower was stamped again in Concord Crush. Such an easy technique with a powerful impact.
All supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted
Card Recipe
Stamps: Serene Silhouettes
Ink: Whisper White Craft, Wisteria Wonder, Concord Crush
Paper: Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder, Concord Crush
Other: White EP, Scallop Trim Corner Punch (soon to be retired)
Glad you could stop by!
Enjoy!
Bonnie this is so lovely, I wondered how you did it! Thankyou for sharing the technique, it's so effective. I had a look at Mary's card too and love the colours she has used too. :) Cathy x

ReplyDeleteA beautiful card Bonnie. I love how the white really pops!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous use of the colours and I have always loved this image. Lovely card!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card. Love the way you stamped the images.
ReplyDeleteMore Serendipity. You mentioned Mt. Vernon in your comment at my blog today; then I zipped over to visit your blog. This card reminds me of the Blue & White china on display at the Mansion. George & Martha would love to have had this one to display on a mantle. So do I. This is a beautiful stamp and you did something wonderful with it. The Concord Crush looked blue to me, but I'd expect it to be more 'purple'. (don't have any of that color -- yet!) TFS such a gorgeous card.
ReplyDeleteYour card is just beautiful, and I must try this technique with this pretty stamp image! I love all the purple and the fancy corner too!
ReplyDeleteOh my this is just so beautiful Bonnie, what a great duo you chose. Love that image and shame that punch is going to be retired. Thank you so much for joining us this week at Dynamic Duos.

Hi Bonnie,
ReplyDeleteNot sure how I found your blog, but it's now one of my favorites. I attended my first Stampin' Up class last night in Pfafftown, NC, and ordered the Serene Silhouettes set. How wonderful to see your beautiful card this morning using that set. Thank you for the inspiration -- hope you don't mind if I CASE this card. Sheila Tatum

When the blue is stamped, do you need to wipe it away from the white embossed image, or does it not stamp there? Beautiful card!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
