The Queen for the Day at SCS last week was Faith (aka yabadabadoo). It's almost time for her reign to end and I finally finished the card I started for her last weekend.
Examples:
1. Make a red, white, and blue card that is not patriotic. (Happy Independence Day this week, America!)
2. Make a red and green card that is not Christmas related.
3. Make a green and gold card that is not St. Patrick's Day.
4. Make a red, pink, and white card that is not Valentine's Day.
5. Make an orange and black card that is not Halloween related
I already had orange and black on the butterfly, Halloween colors.
We used this butterfly for the Stamp Stack last weekend and I had stamped and colored some extras so when I saw this card, I knew it was the one to CASE.
Then I saw the Technique Challenge at SCS
"Twisted Traditions 2" -- and ***using traditional holiday colors to make non-holiday cards.***
Examples:
I don't think I've been to Pixie's Crafty Workshop this week so I'm going to skip over there with my butterfly. The circles and butterflly were all cut from snippets.
Addicted to CAS challenge fits too.
All supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted
Card Recipe
Stamps: Best of Butterflies, Proverbs 3:5 (Verve)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento), SU Markers (Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango)
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black
Other: Lattice EF (Sizzix), Circle Nesties (Spellbinder), Neutrals Brads (I cut the prongs off with my trusty wire cutter)
I'm so glad you could stop by. Thanks for the visit.
Enjoy!

Very elegant, the butterfly is beautiful and so is the Proverb. Have a wonderful weekend, Shirleyx
ReplyDeleteYour beautiful butterfly really pops and a snippet too. Hugs Mrs A. p.s. Mind the goats and piglets running around. (It's a long story!!).
ReplyDeletep.s. I have all the stories lined up to tell but you don't get to hear them until I can find a stamp/digi to go with them which is why the tales aren't in chronological order! How could you think the goats and pig were me. Whose been telling.
ReplyDeleteHugs Mrs A.
