We're still honoring past Queens at SCS. This week we're to honor a past Queen whose screen name begins with S. My good friend Susan (susanbri) is in that group. Susan creates a lot of Christmas cards each year and works on them all year long. She does other beautiful cards too, but Christmas is her specialty. I chose this card to CASE and here's what I came up with......
This is the only candy cane stamp I have and the hook only goes one way. It seemed that my third object needed to be something besides a left facing cane. So I added a gingerbread man from the same set. I kept the layout as it was and even found an already punched piece of red in the snippet bag.
All supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted
Card Recipe
Stamps: Scentsational Season (retired), More Merry Messages
Ink: Real Red, Soft Suede, SU Markers (Real Red, Garden Green)
Paper: Whisper White
Other: Holiday Collection Framelit Dies (retired), Scallop Trim Border Punch, Gumball Green Ribbon, Basic Pearls, Kars Snowflake EF (Cuttlebug)
Other challenges:
Festive Friday theme challenge
Pixie's Crafty Workshop cuz the red layer, the embossed piece and the stamped pieces are all snippets. I love to use snippets. And I love to visit the playground. I always see wonderful craft projects there and the playmates are so friendly and mischievous.
Thanks for the visit. I hope you come back again soon.
Enjoy!
Just as cute a a button! It looks like the little gingerbread boy is holding a candy cane! Cute and creative. I really like the red and green sentiment too.
