I thought all our butterflies were gone. Then I saw a Monarch today! What a blessing!
This isn't a Monarch but I thought I'd share it anyway. It's to honor the Featured Stamper at SCS this week, Marie-Alice (aka ladybug91743). What a lovey gallery with so much inspiration! I chose this card as my inspiration. Here's my take.

Card Recipe
Stamps: Best of Butterflies, Inspired by Nature, Wetlands, Too Kind
Ink: Soft Suede, More Mustard, SU Marker (Soft Suede)
Paper: Watercolor (Strathmore), Whisper White
Other: Neutral Brad, Corner Rounder Punch (EK Success)
Nothing much to talk about here. I stamped the butterfly in Soft Suede and the grasses in More Mustard. I mixed in some of the wheat from the Wetlands set in Soft Suede. I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of Whisper White and stamped some of the grass and wheat on that. I rounded the end with a corner rounder punch that the guard has broken off. Glad I didn't trash it! A brad was inserted in the end and the sentiment was popped up on dimensionals.
Thanks so much for the visit.
Enjoy!
Lovely butterfly and it is perfect among the wheat and tall grasses. It's a reminder to enjoy the beauty while we can. We had a hard frost this morning so I may not see another one of these beauties again this year.
ReplyDeleteLove your combination of stamp sets and the soft neutral colors, Bonnie. Wish I had that grass stamp!
ReplyDeleteOh so pretty! Love the way you stamped over the sentiment panel too.

Beautiful - that is my very favourite butterfly!
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie. Fabulous design. I love the soft, neutral colors for the grasses ... and that you also stamped them onto the sentiment banner. Your butterfly is gorgeous! Loll xx
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done, Bonnie! Love the way the sentiment panel carries the pattern too!
ReplyDeleteHow cool that you recently saw a butterfly, but then again you are further south than I. We haven't seen any here in a while, with our cooler temps.
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely autumn scene!

this is a pretty card Bonnie and a great tribute to Marie-Alice-I think our butterflies are gone here in Pittsburgh-we had a couple of days of snow showers here-no accumulation though
