Several of my blogging friends have posted entries into the
Make it Monday challenge.
Curious, I checked it out.
It's sponsored by Papertrey Ink.
I love Papertrey Ink stamps.
Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of them.
But this time I have one that works!
This week, Erin Lincoln offers a video
instructing us to make lovely little notebooks.
instructing us to make lovely little notebooks.
I switched it up a bit and used some of that huge stash of
Decorative Paper for the inside.
This paper only has a design on one side and I layered it so the design is on the back
thinking that it would be easier to read my scribble if it wasn't competing
with a pattern.
It's kind of a nice surprise to turn the paper over and see the design.
I made my chipboard and Decorative Paper flap longer so I could wrap it
around the bottom and added some magnetic dots to keep it closed.
around the bottom and added some magnetic dots to keep it closed.
It really was pretty easy and it would make a lovely gift.
Or a prettier notebook to carry in my purse.
The flowers were so easy to stamp.
I inked the stamp with Summer Starfruit ink.
After stamping I used a blender pen to move the ink around into the petals.
I swiped a Old Olive marker on a plastic lid and picked up the color
with the blender pen for the leaves.
I stamped a sentiment from this set under the bottom flap
for a little surprise!
And since both of these stamps are NBUS,
I'm joining in my friend
NBUS Challenge #1
"Anything Goes"
(Friendship Theme)
As I was reading the details of Darnell's challenge, it occurred to me
that this would be a perfect friendship gift.
Congratulations, Darnell on reaching 500 followers!
