Single Iris Sympathy

This was my first time inking this NBUS stamp.

I love the easy watercolor look that I got
by inking the stamp with markers.

I couldn't decide whether I liked it better on the white base or the Eggplant base.

So I did it both ways.

CAS on Sunday
is looking for a Sympathy card this week.

Simon Says Wednesday Challenge
says ANYTHING GOES this week.

Addicted to Stamps Challenge
also says ANYTHING GOES this week.

I'm happy you could stop by.

Enjoy!

  3. I thought this was water coloured! Lovely serene look and beautifully CAS and I have looked a few times and I am not sure what base either. I think the eggplant gives a more dramatic look but the white a soft feel, so I guess it would depend who it was going to?? Thanks for joining us at ATSM

  4. This is quite possibly the most perfect sympathy card ever. I am, of course, totally going to steal the idea. I love the white one for its simplicity, but the Eggplant base is really beautiful too.

  12. Gorgeous cards Bonnie. It's amazing how using the same stamp, colors and sentiment look so different by changing up the framing. Both are lovely, but you know me ... I LOVE my white space :) I think the focus is more on the iris with the all white background. Loll xx

  14. Irises are one of my favourite flowers so I love your card - a perfect restrained sympathy card (which is what I think sympathy cards should be). I like it on both cardbases equally well!
