This was my first time inking this NBUS stamp.
I love the easy watercolor look that I got
by inking the stamp with markers.
I couldn't decide whether I liked it better on the white base or the Eggplant base.
So I did it both ways.

ReplyDeleteBonnie, both cards are stunning, but if I have to pin down it will be the white one, its pure delight! Thank you for joining us at ATSM!
ReplyDeleteI thought this was water coloured! Lovely serene look and beautifully CAS and I have looked a few times and I am not sure what base either. I think the eggplant gives a more dramatic look but the white a soft feel, so I guess it would depend who it was going to?? Thanks for joining us at ATSM
ReplyDeleteThis is quite possibly the most perfect sympathy card ever. I am, of course, totally going to steal the idea. I love the white one for its simplicity, but the Eggplant base is really beautiful too.
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie, this is such a wonderful CAS card - so elegant and perfect for a sympathy card (although I hope you won't need it any time soon....) Thanks so much for playing with us at ATSM. I hope to see you there next time, too! Hugs, Cornelia DT
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful Iris, and I love the organic effect you achieved with your markers! Both cards are stunning, Bonnie!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to have you with us this week at ATSM and I hope you play along again soon!
Both are beautiful and that is such a lovely iris, Bonnie.
ReplyDeleteVery classy
ReplyDeleteBoth are gorgeous - and really do look like it's been watercolored! I love it on the eggplant as it gives it a very elegant look. Of course the white is beautiful too.....so either one's a winner!
ReplyDeleteLynn

Gorgeous cards Bonnie. It's amazing how using the same stamp, colors and sentiment look so different by changing up the framing. Both are lovely, but you know me ... I LOVE my white space :) I think the focus is more on the iris with the all white background. Loll xx
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie
ReplyDeleteNot the sort of card anyone likes to send .. .. but if you have to then to send one this beautiful would be so appreciated.
Gorgeous stamp and I love both cards.
Hope you have had a good week.

Irises are one of my favourite flowers so I love your card - a perfect restrained sympathy card (which is what I think sympathy cards should be). I like it on both cardbases equally well!
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty cards Bonnie, perfect image for the sentiment, Cathy x
