Christmas is almost here.
Are your Christmas cards already in the mail?
Mine aren't.
I think it takes longer to sign and address them than it does to make them.
Thanks to Merry Monday
I have plenty of Christmas cards to pick from.
Debbie chose a very elegant challenge for us this week.
I first made this card for this challenge.
I congratulated myself on a job well done.
(Love all the sparkle on that card.)
Then I noticed that I needed to add a 4th color.
I tried, but couldn't find anything that worked on that card.
So I grabbed a piece left over from my last class
and silver embossed this gorgeous poinsettia.
Since poinsettias are traditionally red, not silver, I used a red mat for my 4th color.
Gold flat back beads fill in the center.
I can't wait to see what elegance you put on your
Merry Monday cards this week.
I've seen the Design Team samples.
Be prepared to be wowed with their inspiration!
is having a CAS week.
This is my second entry for this challenge.
The lovely and talented, Kylie is holding a
with a prize of a watermark and signature made especially for the winner.
This is such a generous prize.
I love my watermark!
Is this fancy enough?
Where all you need is to use a snippet on your project.
My white design piece was a snippet.
Christmas/Holidays
Thanks for stopping by, and a special thanks for leaving comments.
Enjoy!

Beautiful card Bonnie - very elegant. I agree about the writing of them taking longer than making them - at least it seems that way! You seem to have comment moderation turned on - I've heard that blogger has enabled it across the board. Must che k mine out!

ReplyDeleteYep! I love your watermark too.
This is so beautiful, Bonnie! I love it! Have a great week! We are expecting 5-10 inches of heavy wet snow today into tomorrow. :(
ReplyDeleteLove the simplicity of this - usually poinsettia stamps are coloured in but I love the look of yours being left just as an outline! It lets the gold beads stand out. Your red border is perfect for bringing in the extra colour.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful card Bonnie! I love your embossed poinsettia and the gold balls in the center. This made for such a beautiful card! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie, i bet your card is beautiful in person with that big silver poinsettia! No, my cards aren't in the mail. I better get going!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, Bonnie. I'm definitely pinning it.
ReplyDeleteIt fits well for all the challenges! Very elegant!
ReplyDeleteMost elegant and what makes it for me is the pop of gold pearls. hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are just gorgeous...and nope, to the too much glitter paper on #1. I LOVE it! Especially love those jingle bells. I love poinsettias too, so this one is pretty special too, I think. The shimmery outline of the flower is very elegant, with those gold beads, and of course you know how I feel about those stitched dies! Splendid cards, both of 'em . TFS & Hugs (no my cards aren't ready yet either!)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!! Love the touch of red Bonnie!!
ReplyDeleteDeanne :)
Both cards are beautiful Bonnie. Love the shimmer and shine from the silver and gold ... very elegant. Your poinsettia outline is so pretty in silver and I love the gold bead center.
ReplyDeletePosted all my Christmas cards last week ... pretty darn proud of myself, if I do say so :) I was feeling so unorganized about a week ago and then suddenly, I'm pretty much ready except for a few last minute buys and some wrapping. How did that happen?? :) Loll xx
Beautiful Bonnie, the poinsettia is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful card! I love that you used gold for the center of the poinsettia. That's some clever thinking in my book. I was so full of myself this morning that I got 3 cards in the mail bringing my total mailed to four. Hubby was not so impressed..... *sigh*
ReplyDeleteTwo fantastic cards, Bonnie! You've reminded me how far behind I am, ack! At least my cards are made this year :) Love your glimmer paper bells - they weren't overboard at all. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteOoooh, I love both cards! Love the way the embossed poinsettia looks with all the white space. Pretty!
ReplyDeleteWell, I love your poinsettia embossed in silver. So elegant!! Thanks so much for playing along in my Christmas Card Challenge xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful embossing. Lovely card. Yes, mine are all posted now. xxx
ReplyDeleteTotally stunning card Bonnie! I have to miss a few challenges out this week, sigh. Should be back soon though I hope!
ReplyDeleteSorry I'm a bit late calling by, not supposed to be peering at laptop really but wanted to just check that the Playground hasn't been overrun by naughty elves!!
Hugs

Such a classy design, Bonnie! I love the hint of red from the Cherry Cobbler mat and the gold beads!
ReplyDeleteFabulous embossing Bonnie - love the stamp. Great card.
ReplyDeleteBonnie - I LOVE this card. I'm definitely casing it for a quick need in a pinch card... LOVE those gold beads in the center. Thanks so much for the idea! :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, Bonnie! The gold touch on the beautiful poinsettia image is perfect!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card - the embossed poinsettia is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had to make a second card, Bonnie, because I totally adore this card! I agree--signing & addressing cards takes so much longer than making them & isn't fun--LOL! Trying to make myself stamp the insides as I make them & put a sticky on for who it will go to--could always change later. We'll see if I manage to do it--LOL!
ReplyDeleteAwesome card Bonnie, so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love how you added that fourth color. Really beautiful card. I love the simplicity of it.
