Holly Jolly Candy Canes

We've raced around to Merry Monday time again.


This week, wonderful Wendy gave us this sweet challenge.

Don't you just love this candy cane bouquet?

I pulled out my favorite candy cane stamp that came from Michael's dollar bin.

I stamped it with Real Red ink and colored the bow with a Garden Green Marker.

A little embossing and a bit of twine. 
I used my little punch on the sides to anchor the twine. 
(It was really to cover a ink smudge but I couldn't put a sequin there.)


I was able to use a snippet of twine on here so I'll run over to
Pixies Snippet Playground

Since I used a bit of embossing, I'll also take this to
Happy Little Stampers CAS Challenge

    Absolutely fabulous card Bonnie! And I could kick myself for not thinking ahead the last time I saw a Christmas Challenge with candy canes - thought at the time I should invest in a stamp or die. Sigh :( Wonderful work there - as always!

    The photo is very inspiring (and darn pretty too, I wouldn't say no to that decorating my home at Christmas time). I love the understated elegance of your card. I wouldn't normally put elegance and candy canes together but you did it, capturing the essence of that photo really well.

    Think I might have this Mike's CC stamp as well. It's splendid with this lovely embossed border. A brilliant CAS card, and that stamp is wonderful in your skilled hands! TFS & Hugs
