Irresistible Butterfly

This month's Happy Little Stampers CAS Challenge is almost over.

I have one more card to enter there.

We did a similar card in a Stamp Stack last week.

One of the gals used the Simply Scored to score a few lines.

I CASEd her card.

The Irresistibly Yours paper was sponged with Soft Sky, Baja Breeze and Lost Lagoon.

I love that it's already embossed and ready to sponge!

The Memory Box butterfly was in the loose butterfly box and it seemed a good home for him.

Since I used some snippets left over from class, I'm off to visit

is having an ANYTHING GOES challenge.

It's turned cold here again.  The daffodils are shivering!

At least it's not snowing like in some parts of the country.

Thanks for stopping by.

Enjoy!

Madison Window with a View

is about trees this week.

I've just been browsing that gallery and there are some awesome trees there!

I just happen to have another card with a tree on it.

The tree was die cut with a Papertrey Ink die
then stamped with the pine boughs from the
Ornamental Pine set by Stampin' Up!

The scene through the window was cut from a
card design with a "levitating" snowman.
LOL, I was happy the window fit him perfectly.

So I'm taking my snippets over to

and

I'm entering this into this month's

Daffodil Delight

It's beginning to look like Spring here in central NC.

It makes me want to put Spring on a card.

I recently bought this Our Daily Bread stamp and die.

I colored the stamp with Stampin' Up! Markers, thumped and stamped.
Then blended the colors with a Blender Pen

FREEZE FRAME
I think this qualifies as a frame and I used my manual Big Shot to cut the frame out.

BTW, I see that my Fern Card was a winner over there for their
GREEN WITH ENVY CHALLENGE.

Woot!  Thanks so much.

Darnell is hosting another NBUS (Never Before Used Schtuff) Challenge

Merry Monday Word Tree

Good Merry Monday morning.

Let's see what we're doing this week.....

My friend, Loll (Stamping with Loll) sent me some of these die cuts
and I'm so excited to be able to use this tree.

And here's the challenge that Kathy chose for us.

The background is one from some I did last year using Loll's saturated watercolor technique.
I put some quickie directions on this blog.

Be sure to visit Merry Monday and check out all the awesome cards the DT have done.

Then I hope you'll find a Christmas tree and put it on a Christmas card
then share it with us.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a crafty week.

Enjoy!

Baby, Baby

Edited to add links to the baby dress templates.
Scroll down.

My sweet friend Rena became a grandmother yesterday.

I'm so excited for her.

This will be in her mailbox when she comes home from meeting her grandson.

I started by stamping this retired SU stamp "Two by Two" on
Arches watercolor paper with Memento Tuxedo Black

Then I watercolored by swiping Stampin' Up! markers on an acrylic block
and picking up the color with an Aqua Painter.

The water is sponged on.

That allows me to take this to

Lions and Lambs, oh my!
Simon Monday Challenge Blog
I have lions.

While I'm  on the subject of babies....
My Merry Monday teamie, Katie (Sweet n Spiffy)
recently had a baby girl.

Here's the card I made for baby Adelie.

You can find a template here.

and this one for big sister Ansley!

A template similar to this is  here.

Thanks for stopping by and for your comments.

Lotus Blossom Framed

I'm still enjoying the Lotus Blossom Stamp.

I was demonstrating how easy it is to use this stamp to a friend.

I got totally mixed up and did the colors backwards.  LOL.

I thought it framed up pretty though.

I have lots of white space so I think this will work.

is everybody's favorite

Clock and Key

I don't usually post twice in one day
but my friend, Darnell (djkardkrreations)
is the Guest Star over at

Congratulations, Darnell!

The challenge is Keys to the Time.

I remembered that I had some images with both clocks and keys
already stamped.  I had borrowed the stamps from a friend
and tucked the images away.
(Another UFO receptacle, LOL!)

So I pulled one out and whipped up a QACAS (Quick and Clean and Simple)
card, as Darnell would say.

The challenge is about to close, but if you have some clocks or keys hanging around
maybe you can make it.

Thanks for stopping by.

Christmas Memories Gifts

It's Merry Monday time.

This week, Karren is our hostess

Here's what she chose

When I bought the Christmas Memories set, it was mainly for the little birds.

I was so happy to have an excuse to use another of these stamps.

I've stamped the image twice with Memento Tuxedo Black,
colored with Copic Markers, fussy cut the gifts from one of the sets,
and added them to the first image with dimensionals.
I added a diecut bow from a snippet of Origami paper.
Can you fine it?

I hope you'll check out all the fantastic cards by our Design Team.
Then put some gifts on your Christmas card
and deliver it to Merry Monday.

Thanks for visiting today.

Enjoy!

Sponged Iris

I love irises and I'm looking forward to seeing them bloom soon.

In the meantime, I'll have to do with the paper kind.

This iris was die cut with a Penny Black die
from Whisper White cardstock.

I sponged on some color and used a marker to add some little squiggles.

QACAS (Quick and Clean and Simple) as Darnell would say.

Since I've used some snippets, on off to
One of my favorite places to play.

and

I see that I won a Favourite Award for last month's challenge there
with this card.

What an honor.  There were a LOT of awesome entries!

I'm so glad you stopped by.

Lucky Four Leaf Clover

It's time for a new challenge at

Vicki (All I Do Is Stamp) is our hostess this time.
This is what she chose....

The winner will receive 3 images
    **********

The Itty Bitty Punch Pack has this clover punch.
It's perfect for a QACAS (Quick and Clean and Simple) card.

I punch 3 clovers out of a snippet of Garden Green and shaped them with
a bone folder on a mat then laid them on the "stitched" piece for placement
and stamped some stems.

I added the clover with glue dots and put a tiny pearl in the center of each one.

Finished with a bow of Linen Thread.

Adhered everything together and I was done.

Thanks for stopping by.

Enjoy!

B is for Backyard Basic Butterfly

I enjoyed doing that "watercolor smoosh" technique so much
that I did another card with it.

This time I smooshed the colors around the edges of where my paper would lay,
spritzed it and laid the paper on the ink.

I used bright colors but I love the soft look it gave.

I stamped the butterfly with VersaMark ink and embossed with Black EP,
colored it with Blendabilities, smacked it with VersaMark and clear embossed it.
Makes it look very silky IRL.
After fussy cutting, it was ready to pop in the center of the card front.

B IS FOR........
