Sponged Iris

I love irises and I'm looking forward to seeing them bloom soon.

In the meantime, I'll have to do with the paper kind.

This iris was die cut with a Penny Black die
from Whisper White cardstock.

I sponged on some color and used a marker to add some little squiggles.

QACAS (Quick and Clean and Simple) as Darnell would say.

Since I've used some snippets, on off to
One of my favorite places to play.

and

I see that I won a Favourite Award for last month's challenge there
with this card.

What an honor.  There were a LOT of awesome entries!

I'm so glad you stopped by.

Enjoy!

  4. Very pretty, Bonnie! It would fit with the Paper Players this week too...they only allow 3 challenges, so you would still qualify! I could use some irises myself...it's cold and blustery here today!

  12. Your coloring is so realistic, Bonnie! I'm always telling my "students" that nothing in nature is a solid color, so your extra touches of lines and shading are just right. That's a nice simple iris stamp to work with.
