A big thank you to those who serve to keep our freedom.
Remembering those who have served and lost their lives in service to our country.
And those who have since passed away.
Miss you Dad.

Day is done, gone the sun
From the lakes, from the hills, from the sky.
All is well, safely rest
God is nigh.

Thanks for sharing this, and especially appropriate for today. My Dad & brothers have a stone just like this at the foot of where they rest in peace. I can see that it was lovely & moving ceremony on such a pretty day. Hugs

Beautiful post, Bonnie. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post Bonnie and a beautiful memorial! Most men served back then so I think everyone can relate to this day for our military past and present. They really are amazing men and women because I can tell you that is a job that I could never do! Thank God for those who can! Including my Hero. Hugs, Brenda
