NBUS Open Heart

Like most of you , I have a box full of NBUS!

I loved this set when I saw it.

We have some of these little Carolina Wrens that come to visit the feeders.

They're quite apt to perch on the corner of the deck and serenade us.

Noisy little fellas!

I had so much fun doing this card that I did another.

A twofer as Darnell would say.

I used my Stampin' Write Markers to color the bird and berries

And since I used snippets of  white for the wrens, I'm off to

Pixies Snippet Playground
where Sarn has challenge me to a game of tag.
Let's see who I can catch.....

Gotta run.

Thanks for stopping by.

Enjoy!

  3. Both cards are just gorgeous, Bonnie! With a change of sentiment I think they would make beautiful Christmas cards, too.

  4. Both cards have such a nice "natural nature" feel to them. I particularly like the stamped off background on the crumb cake and the deckled edges on the first card. You are my heroine!

  7. Both cards are lovely Bonnie. I love how you've presented them with the burlap and the kraft card. We have a little wren hopping around the pots in our garden but it doesn't sing to us. Barbxx

  13. Two fab cards Bonnie. We used to have wrens visit the cotoneaster outside the kitchen window in our old house, many happy moments watching them hop around the branches.

  17. Love both of these, Bonnie! So much so that I might have to break down and buy that stamp set! And how many bird stamps does a person need?

Both are beautifully rustic - the burlap tag is a perfect accent and the splatters are great. Not to mention your excellent fussy cutting!

  18. I love anything with birds and these are darling, Bonnie. I love the torn paper on the first one. I used to do that and after seeing this, I need to do some more.

  19. Well, I'm behind again, so will have a scroll through here later, but I'm loving BOTH your 2-fers. You've captured the Carolina Wren perfectly, and I love the way it's superimposed over the greenery with the complimentary kraft & stamped framing. Great coloring too. Also on #2, I'm liking the texture of the burlap & of course the stitched matting. Super TWO! TFS & Hugs
