I recently met a fellow blogger who lives in the same town I do.
We had a lovely lunch and talked for 3 hours!
I'm so glad we met and can't wait to get together again.
Next time we'll have stamps in hand.
Her name is Nance Salkeid and she's on the Design Team at
I saw the inspiration photo for this challenge
and had this card that I really wasn't going to post.
It kind of reminded me of the prompt.
Black, white and orange are covered.
I've mentioned before about the fact that I don't like messy chalkboards.
This is pretty messy and gives me the heebie jeebies!
That's Halloweenish, isn't it?
Thanks for stopping by.
Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteHow lovely to have met up with Nance Bonnie. Sounds as if you're both going to have some fun together.
ReplyDeleteI love your card. You've really captured the look of a chalk board. Barbxx
LOL! Well, it doesn't give me the heebie jeebies at all Bonnie! I think it's pretty and just perfect for fall! I've never even attempted the chalkboard look!
ReplyDeleteThat's wonderful about meeting another crafter! Sounds like fun times ahead!

Great design. Black background gives gloomy character of this card. Great Halloween card.

Cute card. I like your ghostly pumpkins with the chalkboard effect..
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a chance to meet another stamping friend that lives in your town.
I am glad you did post this beauty Bonnie. Now, Halloween was made for Boo cards not Wha Who cards!!

Spoooooky!! Never seen ghostly pumpkins before, now I'll have nightmares every time we carve one, sheeesh!!
ReplyDeleteFabulous card, love it Bonnie.
What fun to meet up with another stamper! I love my get togethers with Loll and Christine (calex on SCS). I know what you mean about messy chalkboards - it's why I rarely use that technique! But for Halloween, it's a perfect card!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to catch up with someone who enjoys your hobby as much as you do.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you with chalkboards, but have to admit this is a SUPER DUPER card I love it. It looks like you took chalk to the board a fabulous effect.
Love this look! Awesome card Bonnie!
ReplyDeleteThe only thing about chalk that give me the heebie jeebies is when it screeches on the chalkboard. ;) I think the card is great. It's even greater that you've found a nearby friend to craft with. It's wonderful, and I speak from experience, although Michele lives across the state and not in the same city.
ReplyDeleteLove your card Bonnie!
ReplyDeleteI share Bobby's phobia so with your card I'm all good ;o)
Oh fabulous chalk board look Bonnie.
ReplyDeleteHugs Diane
How fun to meet a crafty friend! Neat look for Halloween!
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie! Wow! You got to meet, Nance!!!! How awesome is that! Love your "spooky" card and the chalkboard look. What a cool idea! Thank you for joining us at The Challenge this week!
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie! This is so great! I love a chalkboard look, and I wish I seen more of it lately!! Thanks for joining us at The Challenge!
ReplyDeleteOoh! I love the chalkboard pumpkins you created. I'm with you that real life chalkboards give me the heebie geebies (all that dust) and they are messy, as is the chalkboard look, but I really, really like this card. It works!
