I had so much fun playing with Loll's Splash Watercolour Technique!
This time I used some bright colors.
I love how it turned out!
Folding the vellum around the panel and adhering in the back
solves the problem of adhesive showing through.
This vellum is the heavier cardstock vellum and kind of bowed.
It was a happy accident.
Don't you love happy accidents?
I haven't played at Seize the Birthday for a long time.
and I think I can claim the toppings since my vellum piece divides the panel.
and
CAS Mix Up
I have watercoloring, dry embossing, heat embossing, vellum and a little bling too.
Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.
Enjoy!

This is such a fabulous card, I just HAVE to CASE it! Can't wait to try a masculine version in blues and greens, or maybe browns and craft. Thanks for the inspiration, Bonnie.
ReplyDeleteYes loving happy accidents and loving this card. The prettiest of colours and gorgeous background.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty and cheerful. Love the embossed background and colors. That is a great way to adhere the vellum. TFS
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty colours Bonnie! Really bright and cheerful and I love that vellum strip with the sentiment on, a great way to have a sentiment without obscuring the beautiful background piece! Have a lovely Sunday! Hazel xx

Love the vellum sentiment over that beautiful embossed and coloured background! I don't know why, but I never think to use vellum, yet everytime I see a card with it, I love the look!
ReplyDeleteLove this card -- it has so much happy punch to it with the bright colors. The greeting embossed on the vellum lets the background be the focus. The Splash Watercolor Technique has such a different look with the bright colors vs. neutral ones -- gotta give some bright colors a try.
ReplyDeleteOooh, I love this card Bonnie! The colors you used for the splash watercolor technique are so bright, cheery and just remind me of spring! Love the embossing too. How fun that your vellum warped on you and bowed out like that, it looks so cool and I thought that is the way you made it do. lol Happy accidents are always fun! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, bright and cheerful spring card Bonnie. TFS my friend.

ReplyDeletedry embossing is still throwing me for a loop - it's the odd size I think. But you have this technique down pat. What would either one of these two techniques be without each other! The colors are so pretty!!!!!

ReplyDeleteThis is a fab technique and so easy, I'm going straight off too have a go. The embossing looks so good on your inked background. You've been brave with the colours but they look so bright and cheerful.
