Gilded Dragonfly

My dear friend Loll (Stamping with Loll)
recently enabled encouraged me to get some Gilding Flakes.

They are a very interesting product!

Lessons learned:

Turn the overhead fan off before I open the jar.

             Don't breath too hard.

No sneezing allowed!

I've got to say that I love the results though.

I die cut this dragonfly using some Sizzix sticky paper adhered to a snippet of cardstock.

After removing the backing paper, I pressed the gilding flakes onto the sticky side,
then "scrubbed" off with the scrubby pad.

I love the shine!

To go with this shiny dragonfly, I used a piece of copper metallic cardstock
and place it behind another die cut piece.

The sentiment is stamped and embossed with copper embossing powder.

This card is perfect for the

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

  4. Just too gorgeous for words! Your efforts turned out lots better than my first efforts. The sookwang paper worked better for me, than the other sticky paper I tried. This looks stunning with the copper paper behind the white open lattice work. It's just a lovely, lovely design. I'm so glad you got encouraged!!! Hugs
