Hi. It's me again with another homework project from the
Beautiful Details Class at Altenew.
The lovely and very talented Marika is teaching this class.
Here's another project I did using stamps, markers and doodling.
Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.
Beautiful Details Class at Altenew.
The lovely and very talented Marika is teaching this class.
Here's another project I did using stamps, markers and doodling.
I was more comfortable with the stamping technique on this one, but not with the doodling.
Overall, it was worthy of putting on a card, I think.
And this wasn't my first try with these colors.
I'm hoping to try out the lesson from day 2 this afternoon.
Enjoy!
Card Recipe
Stamps: Peony Bouquet, Thinking of You (both Altenew)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, SU Markers (Sweet Sugarplum, Rich Razzleberry)
Paper: Heavy Weight Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry (SU)
Other: Marvy LePen (4300 Dk. Grey), Simply Scored, Moonstone Sequins (SSS)
Bonnie, you have done a great job with this first lesson. I have not done this one yet but did get one for today's lesson. You are braver than I !!!! Great work here.
ReplyDeletewell i think it lovely in every way - i'm taking the class took - must get going with my homework!!
ReplyDeleteI think you're being too hard on yourself. Your card looks lovely, including the doodling. We are usually our own worst critics. You see every line you drew, I'm just seeing the overall effect...
ReplyDeleteBoth this one and the previous card are so beautiful! I love the doodling on this and that design.

Looking pretty . Love the colour. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful card Bonnie - love the colour of the flowers, the wider black border and the texture on the white base panel.

Lovely card! I think you did a wonderful job with the stamping, doodling and color choice.....very stunning!
ReplyDeleteI wondered how good this class will be, and it looks like you're enjoying it quite a lot. I LOVE your watercolor work on this one, and I'm guessing the doodling is on the petal outlines? That's looking good too! Definitely this homework is worthy of a card. I bet the other ones you didn't share, were too! Off to look at Day 1. Love this Miz B. TFS & Happy Father's Day to Mr. B. ReplyDeleteI am loving the color you chose for your flowers! I am loving the shapes of them too. Great job with the homework. Jil
ReplyDeleteBonnie, this is beautiful. I love your colour choices and your doodling looks wonderful! As Marianne said above, we truly are our worst critics. Great work! And totally worthy of making into a final project. :)
ReplyDeleteOh Bonnie, you are being to hard on yourself, my goodness, this is gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteI love every little detail on this card and the colors choices are wonderful.
Thank you for sharing this lovely card, I look forward to seeing more of your homework.

Both cards look wonderful, Bonnie. I love Marika's work but was too intimidated to take the class. That plus lack of time to do the homework. I do have a number of Altenew stamps and love them. You won't regret getting more.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Great job with this technique. Love the pretty flowers and the embossing on the card base.
ReplyDeleteThis is quite lovely, Bonnie!
ReplyDeleteOMGoodness, day 2 is ever bit as beautiful as day 1's card! Loving those colors too and again I love your doodling!! I am not a doodler either, never know what to do, but your doodling looks as though it is part of the stamping. Love it!!! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteLovely!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely worth putting on the front of a card - it's lovely with the scattering of sequins! Love the score lines on the card base.
ReplyDeleteSo striking. Love the colours and absolutely worth putting onto a finished card. You should be really very pleased with yourself...love it x
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous!

Beautiful card, Bonnie... and lovely colours :)
ReplyDeleteLove the look of this card, Bonnie!
ReplyDeleteThis and the last post featuring the Altenew stamps are both absolutely beautiful Bonnie and I adore the colours you have used and the embossing incorporated in both works so well and is really pretty. I have been away and am catching up on all the gorgeous creations I have missed. x
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful Bonnie. I just started taking this class at Altenew and I'm struggling with the first class already, but your card is an inspiration as I have the same stamps, so I'll try again.
